The Brother MFC-J6520DW multifunction printer delivers fast speed, lots of features, and the ability to both print and scan at up to tabloid size (11 by 17 inches).

Fast. Prints and scans paper up to tabloid size (11-by-17). Duplex printing (both sides at once).

Slightly subpar text quality. Less-than-stellar graphics and photos.

If you need to continually switch back and forth between letter- and tabloid-size paper, you should be looking at a printer with two paper trays. The Editors' Choice Brother MFC-J6920DW would be a prime candidate if you need to scan at tabloid size as...

The Brother MFC-J6510DW is the lowest-cost solution we've seen for both printing and scanning at tabloid size.

Prints and scans at up to tabloid size (11 by 17 inches). Automatic document feeder. Duplex (two-sided) printing.

Only one paper tray means you can't keep letter- and tabloid-size paper loaded at the same time.

Great home office printer, but

 

I will be returning this unit to Newegg and will replace it with the next model up.

I wanted to replace my Brother colour laser MFP as it was too big for my home office. The MFP-J6520DW fit the bill well ; smaller size ; handles 11x17 pages ; fairly fast at printing and scanning ; supports scan to cloud devices

The setup instructions were not clear at all (in the documentation and Brother site) on how to set up scan to email and scan to cloud services. These were not under the Scan option, but instead were under the Web option ; One big gotcha was that I knew...

Poor Color Quality; Irritating Quirks

 

There aren't a lot of choices for an 11 x 17 all in one printer, and they all have some drawbacks. I chose the Brother, but the poor color quality and many annoying quirks made me sorry I had. I bought this printer because I missed my old HP 11 x 17...

Large format scan and print. Convenient front panel

Slow when set to print double sided. Poor color intensity. Doesn't sense paper size. Nags incessantly about low ink when there's plenty of ink left
