better than other labelers out there

great labeler if you don't mind messing around to figure it out; tape expensive but stays stuck on surfaces that other tapes peel off of; If you are using pc it is probably easier to figure out since it hooks up better with windows software, but does...

like the tape which sticks and stays stuck (tho must buy onlline because pricy); like the functions while attached to computer, and can use both pc and mac; large keyboard size even though light weight

interface and instructions too basic for complex functions -- have to trial and error alot ; much of the instruction shows poor translation (chinese?) ; book that comes with it very poor instruction and outdated

Too Much Money for a Simplex device.

I wanted a device that would allow me to build a simple template that I could down load into a lable making device. Then be able to modify specific fields in this label on the device by using the TAB key or the arrow keys. For $100 you would think ......

Light weight and Portable

It will do what brothers wants it to, but it won't do what the customer wants to

Very Good

Printing direct from the keyboard is both flexible and easy to accomplish. Printing from software is also easy and flexible. There are software plug-ins for Outlook to allow printing address labels without having to enter the information. There are two...

Does what its supposed to do. Software is good and is very helpful. Software also saves tape compared to using it as a direct entry labeler. The variety of sizes, types, and styles of label tape make this one of the more flexible of the label printers...

Tape is fairly expensive

Nice

I havn't used the software yet. Maybe this will come in handy.

It does center alignment and bigger letters than the lower models of printers. Got to love the auto cut feature

Great Label Printer

Download the latest version of the P-Touch Editor software from Brother. Excellent product. Very happy with my purchase. I read the reviews on Newegg and other sites before buying this model. Based on the reviews, I was expecting a good, but not...

I didn't realize this from the product info or from other reviews before my purchase, but when hooked up to a computer, you can use any font that is on your computer. You are not limited to the built-in fonts. You can also use your own graphics images...

Wastes a little bit a label when cutting, but there are options here to minimize the waste (read the manual) ; Label refills are expensive

Solid Labeler

The guy who wrote that you can't print without leaving 1 inch margins is both exaggerating and hasn't bothered to figure out that you absolutely CAN print more economically both from manual typing and using the software. It's called "Chain Printing"...

Having the software (and newly updated for mac) makes this worth buying. You can do so much more if you hook this up to your computer. More fonts, Adding images, stretching text. You name it...it serves as a pretty decent text editor. And the recent...

Print resolution is only average, leaving somewhat blocky text if you look closely enough
