Paper Jams

I'm very disappointed and frustrated.

Purchased on sale, so I didn't waste as much money as I might have

The paper jams constantly. I'm using good quality paper that doesn't jam on any other printer I use. At this point, the printer is completely unusable. It hasn't printed successfully in the last 30 tries, so I've given up. I no longer have the box, and...

Piece of !$#!T! - do NOT buy

Don't waste your money like I wasted mine.

low price

Standard printer paper jams constantly. SOoo frustrating ; Flimsy design, especially the tray ; Slow software ; Slow scanning ; Large footprint

Capable printer, with caveats

As a business machine, I think this would be pretty acceptable if it wasn't overused. It's very sturdy. For home use it's great too, as long as you don't need to print high quality photos.

Has worked flawlessly so far. Easy wireless setup, and holds wireless link. Fast. nice color and black text. Heavy, sturdy-- not cheap plastic junk. Should last a while

This is not a photo printer. Photos are just ok, you will probably end up sending photos out for printing if you care about quality. But to be fair,it doesn't claim to be a photo printer. Second con is expensive ink. But again to be fair, it doesn't...

bad little printer

If paper feed was good I'd give it 4 stars--5 only goes to my laser printer. but I thought this InkJet cost per page is actually slightly less than my laser printer. The waste of paper, because of bad paper feeds, overcomes any ink savings. i am very...

fair quality for Inket, good software for scanning, easy WiFi self-set up, easy front panel controls

horrible paper feeds. To print a single page it often grabs 2-4 sheets at a time. prints part on top sheet, rest on 2nd sheet, sheets 3,4 blank. then will spit out another 3 or 4 blank sheets in one stack, with sheets indented where printer grabbed...

Decent little home printer

Everyone always seems to have issues with printers, but this is my first home printer and it has been very reliable.

small ; seemless wifi connection ; nice touchscreen interface ; easy to get to ink cartridges

The brother wifi setup manager is a little silly. recommended method is by usb yet doesn't include the cable itself. Easier to just search for printer in device manager rather than use the brother software

Great Purchase

This printer had everything to get you started right away they've included inc as well as phone cable. To get it set up it took me about 10m including unpacking it and connecting to it

non so far

Brother MFC-J870dw

I haven't used (and have no plans to use) the fax, so I can't comment on that feature.

Compared to my last few printers, this printer is very compact, fitting nicely on my desk. It also is much quieter when printing, and is fast even when printing with the best quality setting. Text is crisp and colors look good. I had no issues with...

If you are a high-volume printer, the paper tray may be a bit small for your liking, but since that does not describe me, I have no problem with it. Installation was a bit lengthy, but straight-forward and finished without incident
