Canon Pixma iP7220 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer

The Canon Pixma iP7220 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer offers above par text and photo quality with reasonably high quality graphics, and it prints on optical discs.

Above par output quality for text and photos. Duplex (two-sided) printing. Prints on optical discs. Wi-Fi

No wired network support. Slow for business applications

How you feel about the Canon Pixma iP7220 Wireless Inkjet Photo Printer will depend largely on how focused you are on output quality. Compared with the Editors' Choice HP Officejet 6100 ePrinter, for example, it's slower, has a lower paper capacity,...

Great printer for cd's!

I'd recommend this to other people and would buy it again, but I do wish that Canon would provide better software with it, because if you couldn't buy third-party software to design cd labels I would have rated this a 1/5 for printing on cd's.

I purchased this printer to print out custom cd's (yes, some people still use them!) since LightScribe has been discontinued, and I'm very happy with the results. It's kinda tricky to figure out how to load them the first time, but after that it's...

The software for designing cd's that came with this printer is HORRIBLE! Absolutely awful. Which is surprising from a high-quality company like Canon. I Googled it, and Acoustica and SureThing are the two best programs for printing on discs. Acoustica...

Bad. Just bad.

I'm actually going to throw this away after just 3 months and switch brands.

Price.

Not well built. A pain to set up - I actually had to cable it to my computer to set up the wifi. Mostly though it takes almost 4 minutes to get your first page out of it! It's slow as molasses, and constantly does a head cleaning and other internal...

Great printer overall.

Ran into a problem at first as I had already plugged in the printer. After this though and it is on wifi, future printer driver installs are smooth over the network. I buy ink for this thing amazingly cheap off an auction which shall not be named, this...

- Great photos - Underneath paper trays, paper doesn't get dusty - Once setup, the wireless works flawlessly even through router reboots and power failures! - Prints on dvd's, cd's, and bluray's if you buy inkjet printable media - Easy to find cheap...

- Initial setup, the setup utility is terrible and if you plug the printer in before starting the setup it won't work right - Linux support, although this works on linux I haven't been able to get it to print borderless photos (works fine in windows) -...

Dead in a year

Very disappointed with Canon's declining quality and shrinking ink tanks. They seem to be getting as greedy as H*P. I will have to think about my next printer purchase.

Primary use was for CD/DVD labels, for which it worked fine

Died in a year. The printhead will not print with pigmented black ink. Bought this printer to replace another Canon with a bad printhead

Good Little Printer

Several reviews stated that the wireless only supports WEP authentication. Not true of mine. Also supports WPA/WPA2. Perhaps a firmware update from Canon's web site will fix older ones.

Good value. Nice output. Wireless.

Replacement for IP4500. This printer is a little flimsy, not built very solidly. OK for occasional home use though. Not for kids. Somewhat noisy but not a problem here. Takes a while to print first page. Overall fine for a home printer.
