Canon imageClass MF5550

The Canon ImageClass MF5550 is a personal AIO that doesn't skimp on features, quality, or performance.

Excellent text quality. Good graphics and photo quality. Built-in fax mode and 50-sheet automatic document feeder. Good performance.

Copies only from front panel. No fax printer driver. The only way to fax from a PC is via the drag-and-drop feature in Presto! PageManager.

Quick review of Canon ImageCLASS MF5550

Print quality is good (after all, it's a LASER printer). Fax and Scan function work just fine. Copies tend to be dark, however. Overall, the printer isn't quite as solid a device as I had hoped - it's a little flimsy which is surprising from Canon....

A Realtor friend of mine needed a laser multifunction printer with a compact footprint for his office. On paper, the Canon MF5550 seemed to fit the bill. This product has a noticeable design flaw with the paper sensor. Unless you slide the paper ...

Not bad as a dedicated fax machine

Don't plan a fax from a SHARP FO fax machine.

I purchased this unit in December for my office with a dedicated fax line to the unit. All of a sudden I am getting these faxes from a very big client to close certain cases we did not have. Well after hours of tech support and lots of troubleshooting...

Good printer, copier, fax is good when it works.

Can not receive from SHARP FO machine.

MF5550: Don't Let the Power Go Out!

As a small business owner, I had come to rely on the ability to scan, fax, print invoices, manuals, etc., from my home office using a multifunction printer. My relatively young four-and-a-half year old HP had given up the ghost, so it was time for an ...

Reasonable footprint, excellent output, fast print speeds

Cheap plasticky look & feel. Beware power outages: your dual line phone defaults to fax!
