Canon imageClass MF3010

With a $149 direct price and a footprint that takes up less desktop real estate than most inkjets, the Canon imageClass MF3010 is clearly meant as a personal mono laser multi-function printer (MFP). What largely limits it to that role is that it...

Cheap. Small size. Fast. Prints and scans. Standalone copier

No fax. No duplexer. No paper-handling upgrade options. Relatively high cost per page. Connects by USB only

The Canon imageClass MF3010 is a definitively personal MFP, limited to printing, scanning, and copying; connecting by USB only; and offering a maximum 150-sheet input capacity.

Canon imageCLASS MF3010 Review

The Canon imageCLASS MF3010 is a monochrome laser multifunction product with print, copy, and scan capabilities.

Compact form factor ; Speedy prints (17 ppm) ; Good color scans ; Cost effective

Poorly built output tray ; Disturbance in print quality

Great

I wish it had duplex printing and a bigger starter toner cartridge, but it is still great without those things.

Fast, convenient, quiet, compact ; Print quality is good ; 1 touch copying is really nice ; Software is pretty easy to use

Newegg shipped fast, well packed, all material

Set the printer up according to the manual. Got a printer cable. Loaded the paper and powered it on. Printer immediately jammed. I pulled the paper out and powered the unit back on, the paper-jam light was blinking from then on. No obstructions ;...
