This printer is great for normal text printing as well as photos. For text it is plenty fast for my noncommercial home use. It also makes beautiful photos up to 8.5x11 as well as my professional photo printer. The colors are smooth and rich with...

I like that it will print from the paper in the tray without opening the top hatch. Then when I want to print a photo, I open the top hatch and put photo paper in there, and it knows to use that paper automatically

This printer is great for normal text printing as well as photos.

I like that it will print from the paper in the tray without opening the top hatch. Then when I want to print a photo, I open the top hatch and put photo paper in there, and it knows to use that paper automatically

This is a great printer. Canon continues to manufacture this product, which was on their product line prior to the 4600 and 4700 printers.
