Canon Pixma iP5000

Physically, the iP5000 is a near twin to the iP4000, at 6.7 by 16.5 by 11.3 inches (HWD) and weighing 14.9 pounds; it comes complete with two 150-sheet paper trays and the ability to duplex. It lacks the iP4000's parallel port, but, like the iP4000, it...

Fast performance for business applications. Output quality rates as very good. Direct printing from cameras. Duplex printing. Two input paper trays

No memory card slots. Slower photo speed and slightly lower photo quality than the less-expensive Canon Pixma iP4000

Like some other Canon Pixma printers, the Pixma iP5000 is a good choice for all-purpose printing, despite its designation as a photo printer. It offers high speed for graphics and text, somewhat slower speed for photos, and sophisticated paper handling...

Canon Pixma IP5000

The first ink-jet printer to feature a 1-picoliter-droplet size features clean, legible text prints and excellent photo quality.

Very good all around printer ; built-in duplexing

Printer profiles confusing ; some prints a little on the red side

The installer includes some confusingly named printer profiles-Canon IP5000 SP2 is for Glossy Photo Paper at second highest resolution, but those prints came out a with a slight red color cast. We had better results using Canon's standard BJ Color...

Canon Pixma iP5000 - InkJet Printer

Not only is the Canon Pixma iP5000 a great looking printer, it also provides high-quality prints, impressive flexibility and great value for money.

The Canon Pixma iP5000 is a very well-equipped printer, which should be equally at home in a small office as it would be at home. Print quality, speed and running costs are all more than acceptable and at a street price of under £150, it's superb value...

Canon Pixma iP5000

A relatively fast, versatile printer with excellent text and graphics quality.

Autoduplex printing ; Easy to operate ; Mac and Windows compatible ; Excellent text and graphics quality

No built-in networking

The gamut produced by the Pixma iP5000's four-colour ink set can't match those of real photo printers. However, its minuscule droplets produced excellent text -- some of the best we've seen -- and allowed the printer to render photos with far more...

Canon Pixma iP5000

While the mid-range Pixma iP5000 doesn't print direct from memory card, it is possible to print from a PictBridge-compliant camera via USB cable, but only at standard quality (there's no control panel on the printer for making adjustments.)
