Good print quality in High quality mode, easy to use with on-screen prompts via 2.4in LCD, cheap monochrome document printing

Not the fastest document or photo printer, set up takes a while

The Canon PIXMA MG5250 is an all-in-one printer that manages to fit in almost everything a home user could want. A reasonable asking price makes it a good purchase, and ongoing costs are fine as long as you aren't printing large volumes of documents or...

Canon PIXMA MG5250 review

The Canon PIXMA MG5250 inkjet multifunction is easy to set up, although the process does take some time if you're not familiar with it. You'll need to unbox the printer and remove all its protective padding and wrapping, and then install the print head...

If the black ink yield can be believed, the Canon PIXMA MG5250 is a relatively cheap printer to run. It's a strong performer in almost all other areas as well, making its £149 asking price more than reasonable.

Canon Pixma MG5250 review

Recent years have seen Canon's Pixma machines become the byword for inkjet quality, so we were intrigued to see if the new MG5250 could continue with this trend. It's certainly a good-looking printer. As with the majority of Pixma products, it's clad...

A good all-rounder, but rival printers are better options if you favour high quality or speed over other attributes.

Canon Pixma MG5250

Great features for the price. After a while setting up using wireless network worked first time. Paper handling is good even with double sided

Ink looks expensive so will probably try compatibles. Looks like these are at the end of the production run so may not be available much longer
