Canon Pixma MG7120 review: All this gorgeous printer needs is cheaper ink

Great design and print quality melted our ink-obsessed hearts. A little.

Easy touchscreen controls ; Good print speed ; Very good print quality

Black ink is expensive

The Canon Pixma MG7120 has gorgeous output quality and design. For a printer at this price point, however, we expected inks to be a little cheaper than they are.

Canon Pixma MG7120 BK Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One Printer

The Canon Pixma MG7120 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer has a 6-ink-tank system designed to enhance both photo and text quality.

3.5-inch touch-screen LCD. Above-par photo quality. Prints from optical disks. Good set of mobile printing choices.

Slow. Lacks port for USB thumb drive.

For some home users, the MX922's extra features will be overkill, and for them, the MG7120 may be a compelling choice. Although all three of the Canon MFPs mentioned here have above-average photo quality, the addition of the sixth ink tank could make a...

Canon Pixma MG7120 Review and Ratings

This photo-centric AIO prints business documents and photographs well, but its high cost per page and lack of an ADF diminish its overall value.

Excellent print quality ; Prints to optical discs ; Easy to set up and use

High cost per page ; Somewhat sluggish ; No ADF

We’ve always liked the output from six-ink Pixmas, and the Pixma MG7120 is no exception. It printed our test photos with considerable accuracy and detail, as well as bright, vibrant colors. Granted, several similarly priced models out there, including...

I normally go for cheap, but...

Could be that AJ Variety sold known bad goods, to move inventory during the holiday rush. The box had an extra layer of packing tape and obviously had been opened previously. No joy.

Looks nice

Unpacked & plugged in. Installed ink (no lights). Installed special head alignment paper. PRINT ERROR. Please see manual or call support ; IMHO, don't waste your time on this one

Was some what easy to setup. Connecting to wifi was easy and it stays even if you shut it off and turn it back on it finds the connection and reconnects without having to put the code back in. Printing is quicker than my other Canon MG 6120. Use the...

MG7120

If you use an apple device it will find the printer for you. If you don't, it's still pretty simple to add this to your wireless network. I've owned a Canon PIXMA series printer before and like previous versions, this printer probably takes 15-45...

Easy wireless setup. Hold 2 black ink cartridges. Prints fast (after it starts)

Takes awhile to actually start printing

1 year of the MG7120

This printer runs flawlessly, only issue was with the print head at one point. Canon replaced the entire printer. Now the new one has been running constantly for the last 6 months.

I'm not Canon's IT Assistant

I loved this printer/scanner and was prepared to buy another exactly like it to use at my office; however, when I changed the cartridges--using the official Canon ink--having put in five without issue, after I added the last two, all the green lights...
