Con from Canon or Bad design?

This thing absolutely drinks ink, I've only been printing black and white, got about 50 pages out of it and all the black and white is used and mysteriously all the colour? Add to that it's noisy and slow and you can't scan if you're out of ink (which is most of the time) which seems to be a stupid design flaw. Heap of junk and I reckon purposefully so. Never will be buying anything from Canon again.

Canon Canon Pixma MP210

Canon's Pixma MP210 multifunction printer costs $80 (as of 9/12/07), as little as an entry-level, single-function printer. Because its copy functions are so limited, however, serious multitaskers should look elsewhere; and novice users may pause at its...

Very inexpensive ; Nice photo quality

Control panel is confusing ; Copy functions are sparse

Jump at the low price only if you can take a confusing control panel and sparse copy capabilities.

Canon Pixma MP210

The $80 Canon Pixma MP210 is the lowest-priced model in Canon's all-in-one inkjet printer line. It lacks features that would make it either office-oriented or photo-oriented, so it's best for general use and light workloads. It's missing a lot of the...

Excellent task quality; decent task speeds, particularly photo printing; PictBridge port.

No memory card slots; task feature sets aren't as fleshed out as the competitions'.

If you're looking for the best print and scan quality from a budget all-in-one, the Canon Pixma MP210 is the one for you. Other models, however, offer more substantial feature sets.

PIXMA MP210 All-In-One Inkjet Photo Printer

Jump at this MFP's low price only if you can tolerate a confusing control panel and sparse copy capabilities.

Very inexpensive, Nice photo quality

Control panel is confusing, Copy functions are sparse

The Pixma MP210's real attraction is that it offers extra functions beyond printing for a printer-like price. But if your copying needs extend far beyond the occasional, look for a model that has better capabilities and controls, such as Canon's Pixma...

WARNING DEFECTIVE like the other 3 Canons I have had

I have had a bad experience with several models from Canons ?all in ones? and while I want to give it a 5 on quality of print, I can't because of so many issues with Canon and so many replacements, each printer being defective and all having the same...

They replaced it

Designed to use as much ink as possible (Even uses colors to make graphics even in eco or grey or black scale) The replacement of the replacement of the replacement have all failed. Not one year without problems, now saying out of warranty

Does it's job and hasn't let me down yet.

So many people dissing this printer, thought I'd give it some comps. I got it with a laptop at Best Buy Black Friday 2007. It replaced my HP 820c (was 6 years old). I prefer HP, as the Canon I had in the 90's sucked (but most printers did then), but...

Prints, scans, and copies as advertised

Wouldn't mind higher resolution scanning
