Canon Pixma MP495 All-in-One

The cost of All-in-One (AIO) printers is falling drastically, and the Canon Pixma MP495 is one of the first to break triple digits with the $80 Pixma MP495. The device can print, scan, and copy wirelessly with the help of its 802.11b/g wireless...

Inexpensive all-in-one device with Wi-Fi; easy installation; small footprint; decent quality for photo snapshots.

Slow print speed; ink expensive to replace; lacks Ethernet, LED display, and memory card reader.

If you're shopping for a sub-$100 multifunction printer for intermittent use in your home, the Canon Pixma MP495 will meet your needs. It prints, scans, and copies documents, and the integrated wireless print server means you won't have a bundle of...

Canon Pixma MP495

Priced at $80 (as of September 3, 2010), the Canon Pixma MP495 color inkjet multifunction printer handles printing, copying, and scanning, and currently it costs just $10 more than its cousin, the Canon Pixma MP280. The Pixma MP495 adds wireless...

Exceptional text and image output ; Low purchase price ; Wireless connectivity

Black ink is expensive

This low-priced MFP offers high-class performance and even includes wireless, but supports only rudimentary paper handling.

Canon Pixma MP495 review

More importantly, the 3-in-1 Pixma MP495 is a budget friendly model priced at less than $100 while offering high resolution photos in 46 seconds with a 4800 x 1200 maximum color dpi, built-in wireless connectivity, and Energy Star efficiency

Ease of use ; Low initial cost ; Wireless connectivity

Less vibrant photo color ; Color document pause

As I would tell any perspective buyer before making a purchasing decision: know your budget and then find the best printer in that class. The Canon Pixma MP495 should definitely be considered for those on a tight budget (think less than a $100)

Review: Canon Pixma MP495 multifunction printer

This low-priced MFP offers high-class performance and even includes wireless, but supports only rudimentary paper handling is rudimentary.

Aside from the integrated Wi-Fi connectivity (to complement the unit's USB capability), the Pixma MP495's features are spare. There's no automatic document feeder for the scanner. PC users get manual duplexing help, but Mac users are on their own....

Canon Pixma MP495

For small or home offices that require quality over speed, this low-cost all-in-one can do the job. Note, though: Its ink costs are high, and it lacks an LCD screen.

Low purchase price; excellent print quality; compact design

Higher-than-average ink costs; no LCD screen; no flash-card slots; low-capacity paper output tray; limited envelope handling

The MP495 lacks many of the features that home and small-office users associate with all-in-one printers, such as an LCD screen, multiple paper inputs, duplex printing, and flash-card slots. It's slower than most all-in-one models, too, and the...

"You get what you pay for."

Not bad for a sub $50 printer.Make the quirks worth the peice.

Easy setup and good print quality

Quite noisy and often has trouble feeding paper

"fantastic printer!!"

i don't think anyone will be disappointed with this printer, it's a great product from a trusted company :P

*light weight, small and compact (only 11 pounds)

Setting it up and using it can be difficult at first (if you are new to this kind of stuff).
