Canon Pixma MP610

Sometimes what's new and exciting in a new printer or all-in-one (AIO) is obvious from the instant you take it out of the box. Sometimes such highlights show up during testing, things like impressively fast performance, eye-catching high quality, or...

Fast. High-quality photos. Prints, scans (including scans to e-mail), and works as a standalone copier

Full-page graphics on plain paper tend to make the paper curl

The Canon Pixma MP610 Photo All-In-One is hardly changed from the Editors' Choice MP600 it replaces in Canon's line, although it offers a few well-hidden refinements.

Canon PIXMA MP610

Availability ; Memory Card Door Could Be Of Better Quality ; Bluetooth Connectibity Extra

Canon has made something really special with the PIXMA MP610. Although it's certainly nothing breathtaking or a scientific breakthrough the MP610 manages to produce excellent quality results with very good speeds. In comparison with the oldest MP600...

A big waste of money

It was just an OK printer. It should have cost a lot less than it did. I never felt that the print quality of photos or regular copy to be that great - just OK. The scan quality was not always clear. It was for personal use so it was satisfactory. My...

Can't think of any

Big and Bulky. Don't buy it

Unrecognizable ink cartridges major problem

This printer is a waste of money. It has a reoccurring problem of not being able to recognize a full ink cartridge and indicates that the cartridge is empty even when full. I have spent several hundreds of dollars replacing perfectly good cartridges...

none that I can think of

Unrecognizable ink cartridge problem, poor print quality for pictures

well worth the money. 5 stars

I've only had the printer a few days and so far i love it. Print quality is fantastic and really fast and quiet.Scans are top notch too. Photo quality is as good as any i have seen from the High street photo lab machines. The LCD screen is useful and...

awesome printer, stunng text & photo prints and so quiet compared to my old HP. Easy to set up. Top build quality. Ink can be found pretty cheap and i'm told it uses less ink than the new MP620. So far i have only had mine a few days and no problems

No cons as such. Some may find the printer a bit on the large side. Canon bluetooth adaptor is expensive so i got a cheap one from ebay for £2, it works and it's tiny so does not stick out from the printer. No need tobuy with the bulky canon one

Costly cartridges. Empty cartridge shuts down printer.

In general, the printer is OK, but I don't think it is the best bang for the buck. Canon has gotten too greedy. I've had spotty results with aftermarket cartridges because of the embedded chips. Also, the printer no longer recognizes the USB port....

Good overall. Quality output. Compact size

Expensive cartridges for amount of printed copy. Allow selection of another color to continue printing if one cartridge fails. No parallel port option. Needs better troubleshooting info and self test features, especially with port connection issues

Worst Canon printer ever

Don't buy it

good pront quality ; Fast print

The paper always 'jams' even when it dosn't actually jam the message comes up ; And it does jam and it screws up the paper getting it un jamed ; I hatd it

good printer but problems with cartridges & print head

As long as the cartridges and print head are recognized, then the printer is fine. NOTE: if you have one, you would be wise to continue buying Canon branded ink cartridges...

Scanning and printing functions are good - like the ability to connect to memory cards and straight from a camera

Interface is a bit confusing, and overall the printer is a bit bigger than desired. But the biggest issue was with recognition of the ink cartridges and then a problem with the print head not being recognized, requiring replacement

Great Printer

I purchased this printer at Circuit City for 149.99 - after my HP all in one died (never again will I purchase an HP) Great printer, especially for the price - can't beat it HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Fast print both color, b&w, Beautiful Color, easy set up, FULL Cartridges, easy navigation

Honestly, none

Fantastic all-in-one printer

I haven't bought a new printer in quite a number of years, so I guess anything is going to seem like a huge leap. But this printer is just great! It's got all the capabilities that you'd expect in an all-in-one printer, and the quality is fantastic. It...

Speedy printing ; Great color ; Lots of options ; Easy navigation ; Cheap refill cartridges

Bloated and inconvenient computer software
