Someone at Canon is apparently a contrarian, or at least enjoys being unpredictable. When I reviewed the Canon Pixma MP610 Photo All-In-One in late 2007, I pointed out that it had hardly been changed from the MP600 (which still made it good enough to ...
High-quality photos. Wired and wireless network support. Prints and scans over a network. Standalone copier
No fax support. Clumsy network installation. Manual alignment
The Canon Pixma MP620 Photo All-In-One Printer features high-quality photos and network support, but it's slower than the model it replaces.
Because of these two steps backward the Canon Pixma MP620 All-In-One Photo...

Nice looking unit. Print quality is pretty good. Had no problems setting unit up and getting up-and-running with Vista 64-bit

Easy setup, excellent photo quality (much better than my old Canon S600)
Sloooow startup prior to printing (it seems all of the Canons do this). Scan quality is OK but not excellent
Install latest drivers from Canon website as other users suggested. Installed the software from disc (minus the older drivers). Printed 2 pictures imediately which came out nicely as expected. Slow to print pictures but not a big deal to me. Printed a col...
Good price for a scanner/copier/printer. Came with printer USB cable (Required) for setup. Menu display on printer is easy to navigate
No duplex printing (Cannot print on both sides of paper). I did not bother to check this since my last two low end canon printers had this feature. My fault for assuming. Manual for Wireless / LAN setup not user friendly
This changes all the rules about where and how you can print and print wirelessly from anywhere in the house via Wi-Fi. Want to go computer-free? Or, network it via Ethernet cable and print from a wired computer in another room. Print photos directly from memory cards, previewing and enhancing images on the 2.5" TFT display. Or, print from a compatible digital camera or camera phone, even a Bluetooth device via the optional BU-30 Bluetooth interface. You'll love the results. This powerhouse...
