Canon Pixma MP810 review: Canon Pixma MP810

Scrollwheel makes navigating the menu simple; fast prints; excellent text and graphics print quality; built-in media card slots, PictBridge port, and IrDA port; multitude of photo manipulation features.

PictBridge port can't be used to connect USB storage devices; no built-in networking; smaller LCD than its predecessor; bulky.

Although it's expensive, the Canon Pixma MP810 is a great photo-centric all-in-one for discerning photo hobbyists and home users who want both excellent print quality and fast prints. You can get a photo all-in-one for less money if you don't need the...

Canon Pixma MP810 review

The Canon Pixma MP810 is the 2006 update to the Pixma MP800 , a photo-centric all-in-one inkjet printer. It offers the fast speeds of last year's model, which we already liked, but improves on print quality, while making minor cosmetic tweaks in...

Wow, WOw, WOW!

I'm a techy geek, so I researched printers for months before buying this one...and this is simply the best machine I have ever bought. For me, it's about it's unparalleled print quality, ease of use, economical maintenence, complete list of...

Most awesome print quality I've ever seen from a home printer! Ink is STILL going strong. Easy navigation (scroll wheel is great!). Fast AND quiet. Negative and slide scanners are VERY nice. Duplexing feature and mulitple paper feeds are just icing on...

None! It's a good sized printer, but that doesn't bother me one bit

Big But Beautiful

Amazing tech support. A guy speaking real english spent over 2 hours on the phone with me trying to get the machine to scan. As it happens I have a CardIris business card scanner. It was never plugged in and was not running any background service or...

Top notch photos and scans. Easy to use software. It seems to make economical use of the inks. I especially like the fact that it uses 5 tanks. The print head is 1 big unit. This is different from cheaper printers where the print heads and tanks are a...

Big and bulky. Also, the top lid is big and clunky to raise and lower. Mostly because the lid contains the LCD, scroll wheel, and backlight for film scanning. Software interference (see below). Software is not integrated into a suite. Overall the...

First Day Impression

I have read a lot of reviews criticizing this printer for lack of warmth in its prints. I can only guess as to the proficiency of those reviewers and assume they know nothing about color profiles or possibly even using the driver settings properly....

This unit has way too many pros to list. In short, the print quality is beyond anything I have ever imagined from any kind of inkjet type printer. I have only used Kodak dye sublimation printers and HP, Lexmark, and Epson inkjet photo printers, and...

Software installation ; It took me well over an hour to install the software. For as of yet unknown reasons, the installation software would pause and never resume installation. It took 11 tries to get it to run all the way through the full...
