Can this cut-price Canon keep up with the big boys? We find out

Excellent value ; Very good text quality ; Strong photo prints

An cheap all-in-one printer-scanner with lots of features, including Wi-Fi.

Quick and easy WPS setup ; Reasonable print costs ; Standard and high yield cartridges

Can’t print from front USB ; Delays during colour print ; Noisy paper feed

Using Canon's Android or iOS apps, you can then print from most phones and tablets, direct to the printer, as well as from any networked PC or Mac. Canon provides its Image Garden and Easy Web Print applications too.

Canon Pixma MX455 review - Cheap and well-equipped

The Canon Pixma MX455 is no looker, but for the low price it's remarkably well-equipped

Cheap to buy and run; big paper tray and ADF; decent print quality; fax is a bonus at this price

Needs a huge amount of space; cheap and ugly design; comparatively slow printing

This is Canon’s attempt at building a fully-featured all-in-one at a rock-bottom price, and when you add in the low running costs – 2.8p for a mono page and 7.3p for colour – it’s clear that goal has been met. It’s big and ugly, and it’s not the best...
