Canon Pixma MX860 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer

The Canon Pixma MX860 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer combines reasonably high quality output with lots of functions.

Reasonably high quality output. Prints, scans, and faxes over network. Standalone copier and fax.

Relatively slow. Cumbersome network setup.

Photo output was among the best I've seen from an ink jet AIO. Every photo in our tests qualified as true photo quality—at least equal to, and in many cases better than, what you'd expect from your local drug store.—Next: The Good, The Bad, and The...

Canon Pixma MX860 review: Canon Pixma MX860

Canon Pixma MX860

Large 2.5-inch LCD; built-in memory card reader; stylish design; robust software suite; fast output.

Output quality can use improvement.

The Canon Pixma MX860's auto-document feeder, large LCD screen, and quick print speeds are sure to increase your productivity, but it also includes plenty of software to nourish your creative interests. At $199, this multifunctional printer earns our...

Canon Pixma MX860

Canon's Pixma MX860 color inkjet multifunction printer is a nicely equipped, moderately priced ($200 as of May 5, 2009) machine that would serve a small office well. Its older cousin, the Canon Pixma MX700, is faster and a little cheaper, but has fewer...

Roomy paper trays; fast, capable scanner ; Automatic duplexer; Wi-Fi connectivity

Average to slow print speeds ; Printed photos suffer on plain paper

You get nice print quality plus Wi-Fi and automatic duplexing, but speed is just average overall.

Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless Office All-In-One

Canon PIXMA MX860 multifunction printer

A somewhat slow Canon inkjet multifunction printer that offers Ethernet, Wi-Fi and automatic duplex.

Comprehensive connectivity, good colour quality, commendable scan detail, automatic duplex

Slow print speeds, paltry media capacity

It prints slowly and doesn't have the largest paper trays, but Canon's PIXMA MX860 inkjet multifunction printer offers a lot of features for its price. It also offers excellent print quality.

Canon Pixma MX860 review

Scan, print both sides and fax. We put the MX860 through its paces to see if Canon has got it picture perfect…

Has a plethora of features ; Double-sided scanning and printing ; Prints from data cards

Can be confusing to use

More features than you can shake a stick at, but it's a shame it's not easier to use

Canon Pixma MX860 review

This boxy, silver unit harbours a multitude of features. The Canon Pixma MX860 offers two 150-sheet inputs: a bottom cassette exclusively for plain paper, and a universal, rear vertical tray. The rear tray's panels are prone to rattling and they...

The Canon Pixma MX860 supplies a wide array of features for an affordable price. But it's not fast.

Canon Pixma MX860 review

The Pixma MX860 is Canon's latest high-end A4 business inkjet, with a strong (and long) list of features to appeal to small businesses that need high-quality prints and scans.

The MX860 packs in plenty of features and does its job well, but its paper tray makes it unsuitable for heavy-duty use.

Canon Pixma MX860 All In One

Another Multi Function unit (it has Fax) silver grey with a broad black stripe around the top edge, so sad to say it will never pass the lounge police. However as an office machine there is little wrong with it.

The Canon Pixma MX860 measures 48x35x7cm when closed. If you store A4 paper in the back vertical tray this adds close to 20cm to the height. You will probably need another 10cm clear at the front to the 35cm depth when printing. Space required might be...
