Canon Pixma MX892 Review: Nice Paper Handling, Good Speed, So-So Costs

Canon's Pixma MX892 Wireless Inkjet Office All-In-One color inkjet multifunction printer (for printing, copying, faxing, and scanning) is suitable for a home or very small office. It delivered good output quality in our tests, and supports both...

Automatic duplex printing and scanning ; Good speed and output

Inefficient control panel

This inkjet multifunction printer has good speed and appealing features for a small or home office, but some similarly priced competitors offer a better design or cheaper inks.

Canon Pixma MX892 Wireless Inkjet Office All-in-One

The Canon Pixma MX892 Wireless Inkjet Office All-in-One combines an attractive design with features for both home and office use, and prints great photos.

Attractive design. Very good photo quality. Prints from a number of media sources. Dual-function front panel. Duplexing ADF. 300-sheet paper capacity. Support for Pixma Cloud Link

Below-par speed. High running costs

Canon Pixma MX892

Few, if any, printer manufacturers are as prolific as Canon. The last time we counted, the company offered upward of 15 models in its Pixma line of consumer-grade and business-centric all-in-one (AIO) machines, ranging in price from $70 to $300. These...

Strong feature set ; Easy to use ; Good-looking output and photo-scan quality ; Auto-duplexing ADF

Somewhat sluggish ; High costs per page ; Subpar skin-tone reproduction in copies

This top-of-the-line business-centric Pixma produces great-looking output and has an impressive feature set, but it doesn't compete well with other recent models in terms of speed and operational costs.

Canon Pixma MX892

The Canon Pixma MX892 works just fine, which turns out to be its biggest fault. Everything works, but nothing stands out. Light users or amateur photographers will love the printing and scanning quality, but home or small offices will quickly outgrow...

Every function works fine without adjusting the settings

The cost per page is high, due to heavy ink usage

The Canon Pixma MX892 is a great printer for photo hobbyists and light printing, but the high cost per page will become a burden to homes and small offices.

Nice printer

The 802.11n is very handy, I can plug the printer anywhere in my house and print to it. The wireless speed and range are much better than my "802.11b abd g" printers. The pictures turn out above average compared to most other "glossy paper" photo...

150 sheet tray, WPS, 802.11n Wireless support. 9600dpi color, easy to setup, also works with Linux (Fedora 17), pretty good price for what you get. Auto duplex (double sided) printing. Don't have to install HP software agent

MobilePhone direct to printer is AirPrint (Apple iPhone) only. No Android support, had to buy BlueTooth adapter from Canon ($60.00) now I can print directly from my cellphone. Ink cartridges are a bit small (no larger cartridge option) but they priced...

User Hostile Setup

For starters, I owned a Canon PIXMA printer and after working more or less successfully for a number of years, decided it was time for an upgrade. I originally bought this new Canon printer because of all the connected features like Apple AirPrint and...

Lots of potential features, if you can get them all to work

The exact opposite of User Friendly, its User Hostile. Not easy to setup

Great Investment!

I'm so glad I found BuyDig.com! The price was right! They offered me an extended warranty and since this was a replacement of an older model, it was perfect! I don't want to run into the same issues again and through out money after 2 years! Funny how...
