Dell 1130n review

The Dell 1130n delivers the basic features we'd expect from a budget monochrome laser printer; it includes wired networking through the Ethernet port on the back, an ample 250-sheet paper tray, and a separate one-sheet manual feed tray for irregular...

The Dell 1130n's low-profile design, basic setup procedure, and decent output results make it a strong contender to be your next light-duty office printer.

The 1130n's graphical output quality needs improvement, and it doesn't include Wi-Fi connectivity.

Although it performed adequately in our print speed tests, this basic monochrome laser printer is outgunned by competitive devices with wireless networking for the same price.

Dell 1130 Laser Printer

The Dell 1130 Laser Printer doesn't offer any noteworthy strengths, but it can do the job it's designed for.

Low cost. Suitably small for a personal printer.

Although output quality is good enough for most business purposes, it's a touch below par overall.

Small enough for a personal printer. Ethernet connector for sharing on a network

Although good enough for most business purposes, output quality is a touch below par across the board.

Dell 1130n Review and Ratings

The 1130n is a decent monochrome laser printer for small offices where cost is a concern, but it doesn't offer enough features to set it apart from its competition.

Inexpensive for a networkable laser model ; Built-in Ethernet port ; Good-quality output

Occasional paper jams ; Problematic paper handling ; Consumables are costlier than comparable printers'

Dell 1130n Laser Printer: Not Very Cost-Effective

Dell has been manufacturing printers for quite some time now and just last month, they came out with the 1130n along with a barrage of other printers. The 1130n is a monochromatic, network ready printer, specifically targeted towards small and medium...

While the printing speed and quality are very decent, the 1130n is expensive at Rs. 16,000. A couple of other options include the Samsung ML-2571N that is priced at Rs. 12,500 MRP or an even cheaper Xerox-Phaser 3124 which will set you back by only Rs....

Dell 1130 printer review

Dell has proven itself pretty capable in the printer market in the past and adds a couple of dedicated mono lasers to its range in the 1130 series. Aside from the fact that the 1130n adds network access and faster print speeds, they are effectively the...

Impressive speeds and quality, easy to set up and use

Slightly bulky design, few additional features

Dell’s 1130 is a solid, no-nonsense laserjet that offers impressive speeds and impressive quality. Though there aren’t a lot of additional features here for the modern user, those that would require them are likely to go for an MFD anyway so if this is...
