Dell B1260dn

As the summer of 2012 heats up, the monochrome (black-and-white) laser printer market is suddenly on fire. In recent weeks, a bunch of printer stalwarts, including HP, Brother, and Dell, have offered to send us not just one, but a bunch of new laser...

Low price ; Fast output for the price ; Excellent print quality ; Easy to set up and use ; Sturdy-feeling ; Automatic duplexer

Slightly high per-page cost of consumables ; No support for Wi-Fi connectivity

Best for light duty at home, work, or school, this inexpensive mono laser prints quickly and in top-notch quality. (Its cost per page and lack of Wi-Fi, however, may drive some businesses to pricier lasers with cheaper toner.)

Dell B1260dn review

Connections on the Dell B1260dn are equally sparse – simply USB 2.0 port and ethernet. Although Dell obviously doesn't feel Wi-Fi is essential at this class, Samsung clearly disagrees as it's included it in the even cheaper ML-2955DW which we reviewed...

The Dell B1260dn is well worth considering only if your print requirements and initial-purchase budget are modest. It has rapid print speeds and good quality results - however print costs per page are not the cheapest for a mono laser.
