Bottom line: totally worth the $100.00. I've owned this printer for over 4 years now and it still provides me with outstanding performace. It jams very infrequently and is much more economical than an ink jet printer. I still can't believe dell is...
High quality build, very fast for its price. Paper tray holds an adequate amount of paper
The paper tray is exposed, so if you don't print often, dust will accumulate on the paper and may affect the quality of the print on that one page

The Dell Laser Printer 1100 is a home-office bargain, providing good-quality text and graphics printing at a decent speed. While we take our hats off to Dell for dropping the official price below $100, figure in another $50 for a USB cable and...
Low price; good-quality text and graphics prints; adequate speed; Dell recycles your old printer if you replace it with the 1100
Windows only; warranty is for 90 days only; ships with a starter-capacity toner cartridge; exposed paper tray; can't add memory or networking
This is a decent first laser printer for a student or a writer, and it would make a good companion to a photo inkjet or an all-in-one.
This isn't the only bargain laser printer on the block, so if you don't mind spending more up front for a full year's warranty and an enclosed paper tray, take a look at the Samsung ML-1740. Check out the Okidata Oki B4250 for ...

With a price tag of just $99 direct, the Dell Laser Printer 1100 doesn't have to offer much else to stir up interest. But the good news is that in addition to being extremely affordable, it delivers respectable performance, excellent text quality, and...
Small size. Excellent text. Better graphics than most monochrome lasers. Reasonable speed for a personal printer
Low input capacity (150 sheets) is both standard and maximum. Starter toner cartridge prints only about 1,000 pages
The first laser printer with an official price below $100, the Dell Laser Printer 1100 takes up no more space than a typical ink jet. More important, it delivers excellent text quality, better-looking graphics than most monochrome laser printers, and...
And at 8.5 by 14.1 by 11.7 inches (HWD) it's small enough to fit on a desk, taking up less space than most ink jets do.

Dell stated its intention to put a sub-E100 mono laser printer on the market earlier this year. It may not have got there just yet, but the 1100 is under £100, which is impressive enough - there aren't too many other models on the market for this...
It's a very user-friendly mono laser, with a quick setup guide and a reassuringly thick manual. You may baulk at the idea of paying half the price of the printer every time you run out of toner, but reordering supplies is incredibly easy, as a utility...
Very often a printer that doesn't cost much to buy costs a bomb to run.

Outlook Bargain hunters on the prowl for a monochrome printer will be intrigued by the Dell Laser Printer 1100. We expect to see this model populating student accommodation this autumn, and its superlow price may spark rival vendors to drop prices on...
We'll report back soon, once we've checked out the 1100's performance in our tests

Crisp and quick, the 1100 offers accurate laser output on a tight budget.
Fast, sharp output, but running costs are a bit dear.
