Comprehensive connectivity but poor quality printing.

Though the TX700W offers a lot of functionality and connectivity, it is ultimately let down by poor quality. This multifunction performs acceptably for a simple text printer, but there are better options in the same price range.

Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, CD/DVD printing, separate media trays, fast print speeds

Poor print and scan quality

Epson Stylus Photo TX700W

Though the TX700 sports one of the most attractive cases we've seen in some time, the cost of consumables does unfortunately let this speedy performer down.

Incredibly fast print speeds. Excellent looking photo prints. Very stylish. CD and DVD printing.

Flimsy paper trays. No document feeder. Exorbitant ink costs.

All the piano black finish in the world can't hide the main problem with the TX700 — incredibly expensive ink tanks. However, if you have the money to spend on consumables, this is a really strong multifunction, pairing super fast print speeds with a...

NO Black & White Printing!!!

I tried everything. it does not have a B&W only printing option. how ridiculous is that? even if you like to print just B&W page, and one of colour ink is low. Guess what? you have to replace colour ink before you print ANY!. This is designed in Italy...

Epson Stylus Photo

well, this printer does do a good job however, it can be slow, doesn't print black only things and you cant scan a document if one of the ink cartridges are low. So now it's going to cost me $30 to buy a cartridge and fuel to scan. one. document.

Expensive lesson in what not to buy

While this machine gave a very good printing result, it took ages to warm up and uses an inordinate amount of very expensive ink. When the ink collecting pad is full, the machine will not function and you can't replace it. I had a serviceman out, but...

Printed good photos

Expensive, dear ink, used a lot of ink,has preset builtin obsolescence and no help from Epson.

Disappointing

We have had our TX700W for 3 years. Prior to purchase we researched other printers and even considered buying the multiplexer but that would have been even more of a waste of money. It does print and scan fine but consumes ink like you wouldn't...

Scanner worked well.

Ink consumption is way too high in relation to the number of pages printed, cartridges are expensive, and it is best I don't say anything about Stirling Business Machines the WA service agent and I wouldn't recommend them either.

Looking forward to throwing it against the wall

When this printer works, it works well. It looks good, and sounds good in theory. Unfortunately it has worked approximately 1 in 5 times we have needed to print something. It takes ages to warm up, usually shows some sort of error that you can...

Looks good, scans well if inks are full

Everything else! Ink hungry, must have all inks to work, slow, inks very expensive. Difficult to set up wifi, gets 'lost' on the network or makes several copies of itself. Drivers are dodgy.

I hate this printer, a complete waste of money

I have owned a fair few printers and this is by far the worst. I think they advertise it falsely as it will not print black if any of the colour catridges are empty. As someone who uses mainly black and white printing this was news to me and not...

expensive, doesn't print just black without colour ink, wireless is hopeless, scanning software is badly designed.

Terrible

Worst printer ive owned ever, firstly took a long time to set up wireless capability, every time i needed to print took ages because it was always calibrating, goes through ink like an old v8 goes through the petrol, even by just printing black and white...

Not much except being stylish, compact

Very noisy, extremely thirst ink, ink very expensive
