Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank (color)

The bottles have enough ink in them to print about 4,000 pages of black ink and 6,500 pages of color, which is roughly the equivalent of a two-year supply at moderate print volumes.

The Epson EcoTank ET-2550 is a multifunction printer, copier and scanner that can hold enough ink to last two years without a single refill. The subsequent refill bottles are also much cheaper than traditional cartridges, offering potential savings...

The printer costs four to eight times more than cartridge-based models. It has a very minimal display and feature set, lacking an Ethernet port, fax functionality, auto-document feeder and duplexing.

With its ultra-low-cost refillable ink bottles, this clever little Epson EcoTank printer does away with pricey ink cartridges once and for all -- but it will cost you a lot more up front.

Epson EcoTank ET-2550 review:

The Epson EcoTank ET-2550 might look like a standard small form inkjet printer, but there's one big difference: instead of the traditional inkjet cartridges that most printers use to put images and text on paper, the EcoTank series comes with a set of...

Epson Expression EcoTank ET-2550 Review

The Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank has its drawbacks – it's missing basic features and prints subpar-quality documents – but it does have the most affordable ink of any of the top-rated inkjet printers we reviewed. The ink may be inconvenient to...

Its refillable ink tanks keep refills and printing extremely affordable.

It’s missing even basic features like USB printing and automatic duplexing.

The Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank has the most affordable ink refills of any printer in our review, but you give up basic features and sacrifice print quality to get those savings.

Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank All-in-One Printer Review and Ratings

Epson's EcoTank ink delivery boosts this AIO from a pricey-per-page entry-level printer to a workable choice—if you don't mind paying for months of ink up front.

Low cost per page with EcoTank ; Satisfactory print, scan, copy quality for grade of printer ; Compact, and easy to set up ; Decent cloud, mobile-device support ; SD/SDXC memory-card support

High initial purchase price ; Slow print speeds ; No document feeder ; No way to check ink levels from control panel or your PC

What new ink approaches such as Epson’s EcoTank and HP’s Instant Ink have done is make low-volume inkjet AIOs affordable to use long-term—by cutting down the CPP, way down. Granted, getting in on EcoTank costs a

Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank Review

The Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank may not be perfect, thanks in no small part to its relatively poor print quality and paucity of features, but it does deliver best-in-class affordability. If you value budget-friendly printing over convenience and...

Its ink and printing costs are easily the cheapest of any printer we reviewed.

The printer is missing many of the features found on the best printers, including direct printing from cameras and USB storage, as well as basic features like automatic duplexing.

The Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank is undeniably affordable, but the inconvenience of missing features and hand refilling ink outweigh the budget-friendly aspects.

Epson ET-2550

This is a three in one unit (no fax) it prints, scans and copies. With recent units this can not only be via a PC but also other devices via the WWW. It is unlikely to pass the lounge police so with Wi-Fi it can sit behind the sofa or even in a cupboard.

The Epson ET-2550 is available from with free delivery.

Bottles not Cartridges : Epson ET-2550 Eco Tank

It was just over twelve months ago that Epson turned its approach to the printer inkjet market on its head. This change was brought about by the company's EcoTank technology.

While this EcoTank technology has resulted in a big drop in the running costs of this printer, the upfront cost has seen an upward jump. The ET-2550, which comes with a three year warranty, is currently priced at £259.69 on Amazon.co.uk. This...

Epson Expression ET-2550 EcoTank™ All-in-One Printer

" I find this printer to be amazing. As an educator I print some materials from home and with another printer, I could have gone through at least 3 pairs of cartridges. This printer is definitely economic friendly. "

New Printer

" Got this because of the ink 'tanks'. Hopefully they will pay for the machine. Use to have a cartridge Epson, cartridges cost a lot. Only 'bad' item is the need to manually turn paper for 2 sided printing. "
