Epson Expression Home XP-410 review

With consumer electronics, they either go big or go small. You'd probably want the biggest TV you can afford, but you'd want a small music player that slips inside a pocket. Printers, however, are in a weird place. Most people find them unsightly due...

Good features and performance in a small size ; Pigment-based inks ; Wi-Fi adds extra connectivity options ; Excellent print quality on Epson Premium Presentation Matte paper

Even XL ink tanks have a small print yield ; No USB input, only SD Card slot ; Mediocre print quality on non-Epson paper

There are a few things we wish it did better, but for the price, the XP-410 is a very good value.

Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One

The Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One delivers better-quality text than expected for a home printer, along with more typical graphics and photo quality.

Small size. Low price. High-quality text. Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi Direct. Prints from and scans to memory cards

No Ethernet. No Fax. No automatic document feeder. No duplexer

As its name makes clear, the Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One is meant as a home printer. However it doesn't fit all that neatly into the category. In particular, it delivers much better looking text than many home printers. That's enough to...

Review: Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One is a cute, capable printer with pricey inks

This compact inkjet multifunction will suffice for light home/student use. The print quality is surprisingly good, but ironically, the pricey inks mean you shouldn't buy this machine unless you don't print much.

Very good print quality overall ; Nice control panel with color display and responsive touch controls

Expensive inks ; Scans very slowly ; Mac drivers and primary documentation are available online only

Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer review

There are so many printers on the market that choosing the right one can be a real chore. For basic home use, I've found using a printer/scanner combination fits my needs just fine, so we picked up an Epson XP-400 simply because it was on sale and did...

Easy to use ; Doesn't take up too much space ; Prints out good quality pictures and documents ; Able to print photos and documents from your mobile device

Semi-gloss photos can be a little grainy ; Ink is expensive

Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One

The Epson Expression Home XP-410 Small-in-One delivers better-quality text than expected for a home printer, along with more typical graphics and photo quality.

The XP-410′s text quality is better than expected for a printer meant for home use. In fact, it’s near the high end of range for an inkjet MFP. That doesn’t make it good enough for output that has to look fully professional, like a resume, but it’s...
