Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One review: Do-it-all printer offers best photo quality for the price

The ink costs more than it should be for a higher-end printer, but we have no complaints about the output.

Impressive speed and print quality ; Prints on specially coated CD and DVD media

Output tray does not retract automatically and is awkward to reinsert manually ; A printer this expensive should have cheaper inks than it does ; User guide is available online only ; CD/DVD printing process can be complex, and documentation can be...

Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One

Small size. Automatic document feeder. Automatic duplexer. Above-par photo quality. Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi Direct

Low paper capacity

The Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One comes up short on paper capacity, but it delivers all the right features for the dual role of home and home office MFP.

Review: Epson Expression Premium XP-810 printer

Is the cost to benefit ratio on the Epson XP-810 favorable?

Picture quality- Ink cartridge cost- Internet enabled control with smart phone

Paper tray capacity- Touchpad issues with selection- Design flaws in top section

When looking for a consumer-level printer, there are quite an array of options to consider. Features like special printing features, or an all-in-one print unit, and even cloud and network printing all have merits, compared to in the past when buyers

Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One Printer Review and Ratings

Like last year's XP-800 flagship, this photo-centric multifunction printer is feature-rich for the price, and it churns out great-looking documents and photos. Our one big quibble is the ink cost.

Excellent scan, copy, and print quality ; Auto-duplexing ADF and print engine ; CD/DVD labeling ; Compact footprint

High cost per page ; Slower than model it replaces

Like the XP-800 before it, the XP-810 is a light, compact, and attractive all-in-one desktop printer. It churns out excellent-looking business documents and photographs, at workable (though certainly not spectacular) speeds, and its copies and scans...

Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One

The Epson Expression Premium XP-810 Small-in-One comes up short on paper capacity, but it delivers all the right features for the dual role of home and home office MFP.

Setting up the XP-810 was standard fare. For my tests, I connected it to a wired network using its Ethernet port and ran the tests from a Windows Vista system.

This is garbage

When we opened the first large black cartridge, the ink poured all over the place. Fortunately we had paper towels or we would have ruined the office carpet. The second one I opened over a large garbage can in the garage and as soon as I pulled the tab...

Don't buy this!

The black prints out green and colors do not print correctly. They also print out with too much green. These can not be returned. Don't waste the money thinking you'll save.
