The Epson Expression Premium XP-820 Small-in-One Printer is a compact inkjet multifunction printer (MFP) with respectable speed, good photo and graphics quality, and a wide range of features for both home and home-office use.

Compact. Duplexing automatic document feeder. Can print on optical media. Prints from and scans to memory cards and USB thumb drives. Wi-Fi Direct. Epson Connect. Fast at photo printing. Good graphics and photo quality.

High running costs. Limited paper capacity. Subpar text.

Epson XP-820 review

This sleek little desktop printer does everything and does it well

Sleek design ; Color touchscreen display ; Prints high-quality photos ; Two-sided printing/copying ; Prints custom CD/DVDs

User's guide is online only ; Lower dpi than comparable devices

The Epson XP-820 is a great option for a households and small offices that don't need to print documents in bulk but enjoy printing high-quality photos.

Best printer ever

I love my Epson XP-820. It is easy to use and never fails. Updates don't mess up daily use and changing ink cartridges is a breeze. A huge improvement over my old printer (manufacturer's name will remain unnamed).

Scanner difficult to use

At first it could scan from the printer control panel. Now, it says it isn't connected or the computer is busy. I've read all the FAQs, "help", etc. No help. I did discover that calling up the print dialog box gave the option to call up the scanner....
