Epson Stylus Color CX4600

Inexpensive, very good prints

Limited scan resolution, slow when printing in modes other than draft or economy

Epson Stylus CX4600

The unit is small enough, at 6.7 by 16.9 by 13.5 inches (HWD), to fit easily on a desktop, with its controls conveniently set along the top left side. Inside, it uses Epson's DuraBrite inks, with a separate cartridge for each of the four colors. As we...

Very good quality across the board. Prints photos directly from memory cards. Works as a scanner, printer, and standalone color copier

No ADF or fax features. Slow performance. Color copies had a slight blue tint in our tests

The Epson Stylus CX4600 is relatively slow, and it lacks such niceties as an ADF and fax features. But it offers terrific quality overall, with very good ratings for text, graphics, and photos. It also works as a scanner and standalone copier and can...

I don't reccomend

This printer has some great features but the ink problem, which seems to be very common, is a real killer to this printer.

The scanner on this unit is great. It is very easy to use in Home mode and the quality of the scans are wonderful. The memory card slots are also a very nice addition and very usefull if you use digital cameras

This printer is an ink hog. I used it for 2 months and then the ink ran out. I replaced the ink and got good prints for a few days then nothing but blank pages. Epson wants me to buy more ink to make sure its not working

Pile

I bought this unit in February. Worked fine for a little bit. Kept on telling me needs ink, pulled out the supposed empty ink cartridge, shook it, and it was full. So I was dumb and bought a new one. Worked for a couple months more. Now it wont even...

There are no pros. It works when it wants to

Says ink is empty, when is actually brand new

Great at first.....

I bought a CX-5400, which is the model above this, and it worked great for the first three months. After flawless printing it stopped working. No fading, no broken text, just blank pages. I tried the self cleaning programs and nothing. Epson customer...

not so great afterall

I really like this printer when I first got it - scanning was great, printing great, copies were great - but 9 months after I have purchased it - it has quit printing - may end up being cheaper to buy a new printer than repair this one - plus the ink...

Epson Stylus CX4600

We are not allowed to use profanity; rightly so, but this product is certainly worth some choice words. My experience has been for the most part the same as others unfortunate enough to purchase one. Expensive ink cartridges coupled with the...

Epson Stylus CX4600

Complete waste of money. Died after warranty expired. I'll never buy another Epson again.

Can't think of any

Guzzles ink. Printhead died right after warranty expired. Received notice of class action lawsuit settlement through registration related to ink usage - still waiting for check! What a waste of money, spent more on ink than on printer in almost 2 years!
