REVIEW: WD Sentinel DX4000

Hardware wise the Sentinel DX4000 is well up with its rivals and looks the part. What you get is smart black cube, clearly designed for desktop deployment, built around a robust, mainly metal chassis with a front door giving access to the drive bays....

The lack of backup options is another issue added to which most of the competition bundle in other applications to enable their appliances to do a lot more than just share files. Western Digital ought to be able to do the same with the Sentinel...

An Epson All-in-One : Epson DX4000 All in one printer

Having just printed an image that should last for 120 years, let me tell you about the device I used while waiting to see if the claim is true.

As part of its new batch of products, . This is a device that provides print, scan and copy facilities. Basically it is an with an A4 flatbed scanner positioned on the top.

Epson DX 4000 All In One

A grey and shiny black box that prints, scans and copies, it's an All In One that Epson calls an entry level model.

It is 43x35x17cm when the rear paper input is closed with paper inserted this increases the 17cm height to 32cm and the 35cm depth to 45cm. The weight is 5.7kilos. It is a four ink four cartridge offering meaning if you use a lot of one particular...

OK - easy to setup

I purchased this for use primarily as a file archive and backup target for my Small Business Server (SBS2003) and other virtual machines. The Sentinel was a snap to set up... plug it in, answer a few questions and away she went. This is the four drive...

easy to setup, easy to manage, compact, highly compatible

Epson Stylus DX4000

on the whole the product is very good. I love the fact that I can use it to photocopy stuff and scan photos etc. They come out pretty clear usually.

the print quality is ok most of the time but I find some colours don't print out so well as they streak or band. Printing can be slow for coloured work especially, but pretty good for black and white documents.

Epson Stylus DX4000

Good looking, compact. Easy to set up.

Scanner took longer to set up for some reason and still has the odd blip now and then. But Scan Quality ok for what I need at this moment in time.
