Epson Stylus DX4800

There's a good suite of easy-to-use software supplied with the Stylus DX4800. As well as a comprehensive printer driver, there are copies of the Epson Creativity Suite and Epson Scan, which includes basic OCR.

Value for money all in one printer. Easy to set up and use. Ink cartridges reasonably priced.

Photo quality copying of b/w has a blue bias - may need adjustment but this is as supplied.

Have not used it to that extent but have found it to quite satisfactory

ORDERED ANOTHER PRINTER AND WAITED IN ALL DAY. PRINTER DID NOT ARRIVE AS I FOUND OUT LATER THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK BUT NOBODY BOTHERED TO PHONE ME UP AND LET ME KNOW.

Miscalculated the speed - had hoped it would be a little faster in printing photographs but can live with it as I don't print that many.

Photocopier useful

VERY irritated by warning about use of non-Epson inks EVERY time I want to print a page! Turning this off results in loss of useful info re ink levels. I would not, therefore, buy another Epson with this message. Setting-up was not successful...
