Epson Stylus DX5000

Edge to edge printing - setting parameters is fairly intuitive also. Compatible good quality ink available.

Paper does not feed as well as my previous models: CX3200 etc.

Consistently produses good quality prints & photo prints.

Expensive ink.

Very quiet, very easy to use, both connected and stand-alone, print quality is excellent

Can be difficult to sort out which buttons are which, as printer is on a shelf below the computer desk, which has no illumination. A backlighted panel might be nice if practicable.

It says printer, scanner AND copier. The scanning and copying quality is atrocious. Uses far too much ink. Not proffessional quality like advertised. Instructions given with it are NOT clear and have NO clear indication of how to just scan. NO...

A little noisey

Less flimsy than earlier models from Epson. Good solid action especially with 90+ gsm or heavier paper.

Ink cartridges are more expensive than DX 4800 model. Not sure that they last longer.
