Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer Review: Compact, No Frills, Great Output

A small inkjet multifunction printer with an overly long name, the $100 (as of January 24, 2012) Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer is well suited to tight spaces, and it offers excellent output quality and ease of use. The unit's main...

Great text and photo output ; Easy-to-use LCD and touchpanel

No duplexing support on the Mac

This home unit is compact and simple, and it produces excellent output. Pricey inks and no duplexing restrict it to low-volume use.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer

Released in time for the back-to-school season, Epson squeezes a printer, scanner, and copy machine into a small device it's calling the "small-in-one." The Stylus NX430 occupies roughly the same amount of desk space as your average Blu-ray player, and...

The Epson NX430 stuffs a printer, scanner, and copy machine into a device that also fits in small places, and Epson's iPrint software extends your printing reach to compatible Android and iOS devices.

The printer lacks an Ethernet port for wired networking, and its "moderate-capacity" cartridge bay is a money sink if you print a high volume of photos and color documents.

The Epson NX430 "Small-in-One" printer is a solid investment for students and office jockeys who print high-quality photos and documents but don't have the space for a large format device.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One

With a name like the Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One All-in-One Printer ($99 direct), you'd expect compactness to be a defining feature of this multifunction printer (MFP), and indeed it can squeeze into spots where most printers couldn't fit. Its...

Very compact. Budget price. Good photo quality. Epson Connect- and Apple AirPrint-compatible

Slow text and photo printing speeds. Sub-par text quality. No port for USB thumb drive

The Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One is an MFP geared for home use that can fit in tight spaces.

Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One

We give Epson some serious points for the first clever printer-marketing slogan we've heard in some time: The company tagged its compact, slim Stylus NX430 multifunction printer as a “Small-in-One.” (Yes, Epson even trademarked the name.) Small it is,...

Inexpensive ; Easy to set up and use

Very slow printing performance ; So-so print quality ; No touch screen or automatic document feeder

This compact all-in-one provides basic functionality for budget-strapped users, but the small size and low price mandate some serious sacrifices.

Epson Stylus NX430 Review: Is Small Better?

Epson's most recent addition to their Stylus lineup has a catchy new name, the Epson Stylus NX430 "Small"-in-One, a play on words based on Epson's claim of the "smallest footprint available for the feature set." But is it as budget friendly as the...

Small form factor ; Low intial cost ; Energy efficient

Expensive ink replacement ; Difficulty with Epson Scan

The Epson Stylus NX430 Small-in-One is indeed small, probably one of the smallest all-in-ones I've seen, not only from Epson but from other manufacturer's as well. And the initial price tag is budget friendly with a suggested retail price of $99.99 and...

Epson is the WORST PRINTER THERE IS! I hadEpson printers, Artisan 50,Workforce 610 and Artisan 700. The Artisan 50 and the workforce 610 are now in the junkyard. The Artisan 700 I am using now is only for printing on CDs. I use Canon Printer I just...

Epson printers are only good for one year and you

Don't buy ever buy Epson printer again once the warranty is over you are out of luck and take a chance being stuck with the cartridge you bought if the printer doesn't recognized it.

"Scanner won't work when you're out of ink."

After printing about 20 pages you get a 'low ink' warning. Another 20 you can't use printer. Why not let me print out faded pages? Won't let me. Ok I'll replace. Look, old cartridge still 1/2 full. Just an expensive scanner now. No, it wont let you...

Cheap buying price

Cartridge runs out of ink just by looking at it! Cost too much to re-fill. Epson uses their technology to make sure no 3rd party can sell you cheaper ink. Their low-ink and out-of-ink warnings calculated by counting pages!

"Cheap is the word"

Don't waste your money. In this case you really get what you pay for.

The only good thing I have found is that it prints faster then my HP

Very expensive to print. The cartridges run out quickly, sure the cartridges are modestly priced but you are buying them more often and forget printing a picture. Try to figure out how to enlarge a document. Ease of use gets a big zero. Very noisy.

"Hassle, everything"

Took me two printer orders to get one that would set up correctly. But now I find it a hassle every time I go to use it because sometimes it won't work at all, most of the time I try to print photos it quits half-way through, wasting my toner, my...

Cheap on wallet

Cheap quality. Doesn't work properly.
