Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD review

Can you colour yourself in glory with Epson's 6-ink photo printer?

New touch-panel interface makes standalone print and photocopy modes easier to use Generous range of media slots that include CF, SD, SDHC, MMC, MS and xD compatibility Auto duplex unit is a bonus for double-sided printing Fast in normal photo quality...

Photo quality isn't noticeably better than with Canon's 5-ink printers like the MG5150 Secondary input tray can only accept paper sizes of up to 7x5 inches Top quality print speeds are a little pedestrian Colour LCD is a bit on the small side at 6.3cm...

One of the most expensive A4 all-in-one printers on the market, the Epson PX720WD goes a long way to justify its price tag and running costs are pretty reasonable. Ultimately, however, the 6-ink system doesn't really deliver noticeably better photo...

Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD

A top of the range, photo all-in-one which works a lot of good design into a small, neat box, with particularly neat CD/DVD print.

Integrated, powered photo tray, Quick turnaround of duplex pages, Fast photo prints

Black print on plain paper can be fuzzy, Noisy paper feed, Comparatively pricey colour print

Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD review

The Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD isn't a cheap photo printer, but it's a very strong performer with some nice features underneath the lid.

The Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD is old-fashioned in places. Overall, though, it's a very strong performer with some nice features underneath the lid. It's not cheap, but for a top quality multifunctional photo printer, this is a clear first stop.

Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD review

Epson's inkjets have long used individual ink cartridges attached directly to the head assembly, but the Stylus Photo PX720WD is something of a departure. Its cartridges fit into a front compartment and ink is fed to the moving print head through tubes.

It's not ideal for office work, but if you want a superb MFP for creative projects you needn't spend more.

Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD review

Epson's six-colour printing produces excellent photo quality, though this does push up the cost of colour printing

Good price and performance with outstanding six-colour photo-printing; good range of features, including printing lined and graph paper

Big and bulky; photo printing is expensive

The only disadvantage is that using six inks increases the printing cost. Epson wouldn’t provide us with official costs, but we estimate that photo prints will come in at around 11p per page, although ordinary black-and-white printing should be a more...

Epson Stylus Photo PX720WD Wireless Multifunction Inkjet Printer

I bought the printer because of the price and reviews I had read about it. When I received it I was very pleased with the whole package and the excellent value for money. I live in the Shetland Islands and was surprised at the speedy delivery....

Couldn't be more pleased
