Epson Stylus Photo RX620 Printer

The $300 Epson Stylus Photo RX620 works wonderfully for photographers, but it isn't well suited to an office environment. Though the unit scanned slides and negatives nicely, and produced beautiful prints on photo paper, the text and graphics output it...

Prints detailed color photos ; Can scan film

Prints on plain paper looked abysmal ; Text looked fuzzy

Even worse, the RX620 printed text at just 2.2 pages per minute, slower than any other MFP we tested, though color graphics printed at a relatively respectable 1.8 ppm. Copy speed lagged, too, at just 1.5 ppm; and the RX620's copies were the...

Prints detailed color photos ; Can scan film

Prints on plain paper looked abysmal ; Text looked fuzzy

Prints photos and scans (including film) very well, but copies slowly. Prints on plain paper were very unattractive.

Epson Stylus Photo RX620 review

Intro People like a single integrated device that meets several related needs, especially when it comes to electronics. In one compact box, the Epson Stylus Photo RX620 combines a digital photo lab with a home inkjet multifunction. You can approach...

Includes film-scanning adapter, memory-card readers, and good software; prints photos quickly; color LCD; good design.

Sluggish on most functions; mediocre text prints and scans; no fax capability.

Features and ease of use reign over speed and output quality, which makes the Epson Stylus Photo RX620 less appealing than other multifunctions in its class.

Epson Stylus Photo RX620

The Epson Stylus Photo RX620 ($300 street) all but defines a new class of AIO. In addition to working as a printer, scanner, and standalone copier, and also letting you scan to fax if you have a separate modem and fax program, it brings a new function...

Good to very good print quality. Transparency adapter for 35-mm slides and film. Can also print directly from slides, film, memory cards, and cameras

No ADF. No built-in fax

The Epson Stylus Photo RX620 can print photos directly from 35-mm slides and film, thanks to a transparency adapter in the scanner cover. That makes it a standalone photo lab, as well as a printer, scanner, and standalone copier. It also offers...

This print, made 8x10, came right off a memory card with no intervention.

Digital Camera: The Epson Stylus Photo RX620

I dont usually get worked up over a mere printer or scanner and never expected to be so excited about an all-in-one, but the Epson RX620 has made a believer of me

Epson Stylus Photo RX620

For the small office user where space is always an important factor, having an all-in-one printer, copier and scanner can certainly be appealing, but are you restricting yourself by having an all in one solution, and more importantly is the sum of all...

Superb photo print quality, good scan quality, good software (once it’s installed).

Software installation problems prevented smooth set up. Slow top quality print mode and TWAIN modules did not work properly within applications such as Photoshop.

Fantastic prints, great scans and good feature marred by dodgy software installation and TWAIN problems. Good price though.

Epson Stylus Photo RX620

Epson's new high-end RX620 redefines the term multifunction device. For once, it's the scanning component that takes centre stage. With a gloriously detailed top resolution of 2,400x4,800, the RX620 picks up on the smallest details, while the built-in...

The RX620 is fairly expensive. It’s not as fast as you’d expect and the paper feeding is more erratic than we’d like. Colour output is fantastic, however, and scanning is excellent - a real rarity among MFDs. Add the raft of extra features, and...

Fast scanning and great-quality photo prints. Beware of low-quality text, though.

Epson - Stylus Photo RX620

Epson's Stylus Photo range has consistently been at the forefront of the photo reproduction market and this latest model follows the same precedent with an all-in-one photo centre that is stuffed with features for the camera ...

For serious photographers who want to archive their work both on film and on digital camera, this is an absolute marvel. If you just want a fast and efficient printer and scanner, the RX620 is well above average but there are better options on the market.
