Epson Stylus SX425W review

The Epson Stylus SX425W multi-function, colour inkjet printer is slow, and its print quality isn't always great. But it offers loads of features for a very low asking price and impresses with its cheap running costs.

Good range of features for the price ; Low running costs ; Cheap

Very slow print speeds ; Text output could be better ; Photo prints look rather dark

Epson Stylus SX425W Review

This is one of the cheapest models in Epson's Stylus range, but the SX425W still produces very high quality text, graphics and photos.

We can't fault the SX425W on quality, but its speed and ink costs suggest that it will appeal to people who need a high-quality printer for occasional use, rather than churning out page after page.Nonetheless, it offers impressive features and quality...

Epson Stylus SX425W multifunction printer-scanner

Printing and scanning without breaking the bank

Cheap; good copies and scans

Poor paper handling; unimpressive picture quality; slow photo prints

Disappointing picture quality means this device isn't as good value as its more expensive sibling

Epson Stylus SX425W

An inexpensive all-in-one with an impressive feature set, but lacking the speed and print quality of even its low-cost competitors.

There are good and bad points to the Stylus SX425W. Its feature set is impressive for a machine in this price bracket, with a colour LCD display, wireless connection and memory card slots. Running costs are also good in comparison with most of its...

Epson Stylus SX425W review

Great quality and reasonable print costs are let down only by somewhat slow speeds and poor draft quality, but it's perfect if time isn't of the essence.

GARBAGE. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING CHEAP INK FOR PRINTERS DON'T. THEY DON'T WORK AND CAN BUGGER UP YOUR PRINTER. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY EPSON SX13O BECAUSE THE CHEAP INK HAS CLOGGED THE HEADS AND ALSO LEAKED INTO THE WORKINGS OF...

Good, at a cost.

This is a very good printer, if you have the money to continue buying pricey epson cartridges,

Was good while it lasted, which was about 6 months.

I had heard good things about Epson so purchased this model. It was good for a while but then for no reason whatsoever it started saying there were paper jams when there wasn't and now it prints blurry. Can't send it back, so now have to buy another...
