This is one of the best printers for Point of Sale a kitchen. It is rock solid and performs with no problems. I have been using these printers for 7 years.

My printer wouldn't recognize a non-Epson product soir would not work..had to discard the cartridges and buy original Epson ones

Do not buy!

 

Supposedly compatible with existing Point Of Sale system

Doesn't work. Installs incorrectly. Required a reinstall of Windows 7. Communication problems. Do not buy this awful printer.

i bought this item for my diner as a kitchen receipt printer. setup little weird. you need connect to printer first.. for connect you need to changing your pc's ip to 192.168.192. xx something and than change to printers IP to 192.168.1. xx something...

Spring For a Little More

 

I have yet to try this in Windows and I'll be sure to post a follow up review as soon as I do. Newegg carries the required cable for a decent price (Item N82E16812120098). All in all, I wish I had spent a little more the first time.

Cheap, shape is suggestive of a futuristic compact car.

Does not work with Ubuntu. My associate and I spent about a solid month trying to get the drivers to work and eventually gave up in favor of a Star Micronics thermal printer. Uses an ink cartridge instead of thermal transfer. Only comes with the power...

It's interesting when you accidentally print to the wrong printer and end up getting a web page on 3" roll paper in black and red.

This printer is a workhorse. We have been using it for 4 years with no maintenance other than changing the ribbon and paper.

Slower and less quiet than a thermal printer.
