Workforce 40 Color Printer

Aimed at small-office users, the Epson WorkForce 40 color inkjet printer gets two things right: It achieves impressive speeds (at least, it did in some of our tests) and it's inexpensive to purchase. Unfortunately it gets many other things wrong--it...

Very fast text speed Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and ethernet

Subpar print quality; expensive inks Expensive inks

The Epson WorkForce 40's extreme print speeds are impressive. But for its small-office audience, the expensive ink, disappointing print quality, and design hassles make it a dubious choice

Epson WorkForce 40 Color Printer Printer Review

Very fast text speed ; Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and ethernet

Subpar print quality; expensive inks ; Expensive inks

The pricey inks produce fuzzy text and grainy prints--hardly a good deal for a small office.

If you're in the market for a shared home or small office document printer, the WorkForce 40 makes an excellent choice. It has the speed to keep up with the demands of most small office environments, yet is available at a very reasonable price. The...

Another Dead Workforce 40

I did not buy from New egg but Fry Electronics.

Fast Printing,Good Price,Ink cartridges reasonably priced

I have owned two workforce 40 printers. The setup is a little aggravating but livable. The worst thing is the quality of this printer I have had two of them to die within a 6 month period. Given I am in College and do alot of printing but nothing...

Security is a pain

I reached a point when I was deciding between delivering this printer to our garbage can or downgrading our wireless home network to WEP (which is virtually useless as far as security goes). Then I realized that I could plug the printer directly into...

Same as other reviews

Incompatible with modern wireless security standards (e.g. WPA2)

If you see random stuff being printed in the middle of the night, it's probably someone nearby who gained unauthorized access to your network because you used to use WPA2, but then downgraded to WEP to accommodate this printer.

Nothing was missing from the box

Per the included Network Installation Guide, this printer supports either WEP or WPA-PSK. Do you use something else (e.g. WPA2 which is actually secure)? If so, look elsewhere

Nice Small Business Printer

I purchased this printer to replace a "dead" Canon. I chose this Epson because it is more geared to basic business printing needs than the photo printer it replaced. So far I'm not disappointed...

Small footprint ; WiFi, Ethernet and USB connectivity ; Reasonable ink prices ; Separate ink tanks ; Excellent price from Newegg

Noisy when printing ; Manual duplex only

Epson WorkForce 40 Color Printer

I needed a networking printer plus a hardwired one. This printer filled the bill. It's amazing how Epson keeps increasing the speed and yet this model is smaller than my previous one. Printer works just great, fast and clear. Would recommend.

EPSON WorkForce 40 Up to 38 ppm 5760 x 1440 dpi Wireless InkJet Workgroup Color Printer

Not worth the non-discounted price. Good value at the discounted price.

Fast printing ; Excellent image quality ; Wireless is convenient

From what I found in my short search, the configuration tools are Windows-only. I had to pull out the ol' dual-boot to get it up and running ; This thing is VIOLENT. It prints fast, but it prints loud and hard

Workforce 40 Epson

I had bought a Kodak all in one printer to save ink...What a piece of junk! The scanner was horrible...It didn't save on ink and the software was many megabytes large but totally elementary and offered very few options...Thank goodness for Epson!

Very easy to set up...extra large black ink cartridge...and plenty of documentation as well as easy updates for drivers etc. Looks real good too! Also as usual Newegg made the whole order process painless and offered many printer choices which made my...

None so far...and I don't anticipate any...This is a beautifully designed and well powerful machine that can print a whole office load of work without a hitch
