Epson WorkForce 845 All-in-One Printer

The Epson WorkForce 845 delivers high-quality prints at rapid speeds along with a lot of paper capacity.

While it's on the large side, the Epson WorkForce 845 is easy to set up, offers a huge array of printing options (both wired and wireless) and delivers some of the fastest wireless printing speeds we've seen from an all-in-one printer. For individual...

Epson WorkForce 845 Review: Fast, Vast, and Affordable

The $199 (as of February 6, 2012) Epson WorkForce 845 color inkjet multifunction printer has a lot going for it. In particular, its above-average capacity and paper handling, top-notch performance, and very good output will fulfill the needs of a small...

Fast print speeds on plain paper ; Extremely affordable ink ; Generous paper capacity

Difficult push-scan setup

Lacking only a legal-size scanner platen, this small-office MFP contender has speed, dual input trays, and sharp output.

Epson WorkForce 845 All-in-One Printer

The Epson WorkForce 845 is the company's latest flagship all-in-one printer for medium to large offices that need a multifunction device for printing a high volume of documents, photos, and presentations. The 845 serves up plenty of features to assist...

The Epson WorkForce 845 excels in print speeds and output quality, with hardware working overtime in autoduplexing, wireless networking, and mobile printing support by way of Epson's suite of Connect mobile printing services.

Photo print speeds are slightly lower than for the average inkjet, and the packaging doesn't include the USB and Ethernet cables required for a tethered connection.

Though it's slightly more expensive than competing inkjet workhorses, we recommend the Epson WorkForce 845 for its refined design and Epson's Connect cloud-printing portfolio.

Epson WorkForce 845

You have to love it when a manufacturer releases a great printer/copier/fax/scanner—a model that prints well, prints fast, and has all the productivity and convenience options a small or home-based business needs—for $100 less than the model it...

Excellent copies and scans ; Top-quality output ; High volume paper capacity with auto-duplexing ADF ; Respectable print speeds

High ink cost per page

This fast, fully loaded all-in-one churns out great-looking documents and photos, but the high cost of ink offsets its bargain price.

Epson WorkForce 845 Review: Many Positives, Few Negatives

Designed with small office and home office (SOHO) users in mind, the Epson WorkForce 845 can print up to 15 ppm in black and features automatic two-sided printing.

Full 7.8" touchscreen panel ; Speedy monochrome printing ; Very energy efficient ; Fast scanning ; Reliable

Color in photos appears somewhat washed out ; No photo editing software

The Epson WorkForce 845 is a great choice for users who are looking for a reliable inkjet with a big touch panel, and speedy black and white printing and scanning. It's also incredibly energy efficient, meaning it won't cost you much to use it over...

"Got this printer for $99. What a deal."

Happy with the Epson 845 especially at $99.

Set up went easily. Worked right away with MAC Lion and no problem when I set up Mountain Lion. 2 paper tray's is a nice feature.

When a color cartridge runs out it won't print anything. Even black. Must replace cartridge to print again.

"My computer can NEVER find this printer! Worthless!"

When it does work, quality and features are nice.

IT NEVER WORKS! Every time I want to print, it's a chore, to remove printers, set up again and pray that it connects to my computer. I'd much rather have a cable connection if I knew it was going to be this HUGE HASSLE! DO NOT BUY!

"Good for general printing needs and easy on ink."

All in all, I would not recommend this printer unless you are only using plain paper.

Easy on ink and quiet operation.

Printer keeps jamming when trying to print Avery business card stock. Front of the card will print fine but the back is off line. When using plain paper it is fine. Printer will also jam with card stock.

"Prints, scans well but photos are a hassle."

I like this printer for 80% of the way I use it - printing documents and scanning. It works well for these things. The wireless is nice but you really have to be careful when you set up the printer and make sure you indicate that it will be a wireless...

Good, quick printing, wireless, scanning is pretty good.

Photo printing jams, set-up is a pain.

"Not bad, like it for the price however..."

Quick, good quality, like the duplexing.

Although it claims a low cost per page, they must be talking about color. Haven't done a lot of printing and calling for it's 3rd black ink cartridge. Drinks the black ink like a drunken sailor on shore leave.
