Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-in-One

To a casual glance, the Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-in-One ($299.99 direct) seems almost identical to the Editors' Choice Epson Expression Premium XP-800 Small-in-One that we recently reviewed. Not only do the two models look alike, they share...

Simplex (one-sided) and duplex (two-sided) printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. Prints on discs. Ethernet. Wi-Fi

Below-par text and graphics quality. Low paper capacity

The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-in-One inkjet MFP is a little weak on text and graphics quality, but what it lacks in output quality it makes up for with a long list of features.

Review: Epson Expression Photo XP-850 Small-in-One Printer

The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 lives up to its name with super-nice photos that print speedily. It also has well-priced inks and enough efficiency features to make it useful in a home office.

Great-looking photo output ; Automatic duplex printing and scanning

Washed-out color graphics on plain paper ; Clunky push-scan setup

An all-in-one unit with a small size and an ability to produce fine photo prints

Epson's XP-850 has a 6-ink system that a great job on photo prints, and unit overall is an interesting proposition. It's small and mostly intuitive to use, and it has essential home office features such as an auto document feeder and auto duplexing....

High-quality photo prints, Small footprint, Google Cloud ready, ADF and auto-duplex

Epson Expression Photo XP-850

Epson's Expression Photo XP-850 is a top-of-the-range, six colour all-in-one with all the extras, like CD/DVD print, duplex, fax and ADF.

Three paper feed sources ; Touch panel controls ; Unusually small footprint

Tray and display won’t auto-retract ; Much slower print than claims ; 100-sheet main paper tray

Sockets at the rear support USB, 10/100 Ethernet and phone line connection for the fax. Epson’s software bundle handles printing, scanning and faxing and there’s a three month trial of Corel Draw X6.

Epson Expression Photo XP-850 review - Versatile multi-function photo printer

Epson Expression Photo XP-850

Great-looking photo output; automatic duplex printing and scanning

Washed-out colour graphics on plain paper; clunky push-scan setup

The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 would work well as a photo printer that will occasionally double as an office MFP. It’s at least one feature better than the Canon Pixma MG8220 Wireless Inkjet Photo All-In-One, which lacks an ADF. The HP Photosmart...

A Multifunction Photo Printer : Epson Expression Photo XP-850

The Epson Expression Photo XP-850 is a multi-function device that is aimed more at the photo enthusiast than a general purpose user.

Great Little Printer

There is a feature that automatically "opens" up the front exit tray and lifts the front display when printing. It would have been nice that when you turn off the printer that they would "close" back up instead of you having to close them manually.

Very high quality photo prints. The Wi-Fi worked the first time and hasn't missed a beat yet. It is a very small printer with a ton of features. The double sided printing is cool too. I got it on sale at a great price and don't regret the purchase at...

I'm only giving it 4 eggs due to the following. The paper trays take a little bit to get used to and they don't hold that much paper. The ink cartridges are a little hard to find so far
