Resolution is poor

Okay, so I wanted an inexpensive fax machine for very light office use. However, I was not able to preview the resolution on the faxes I receive. The resolution is SO poor that I was tempted to go back to my old HP dinosaur that you had to hand feed...

Ease of operation...a real "no-brainer." Consistently reliable

Resolution is too low to make most documents legible

Don't have time to stand here...

and feed the sheets in one at a time! But, if I don't, it takes all the papers in at one time! Not a good machine unless you are only faxing one page at a time. As a Realtor, I am faxing 8 and 9 pages at once and it just doesn't work for me. Looking to...

Hard to say? Maybe price

Won't fax 1 sheet at a time, grabs all the pages at once

Brother Intelifax 770 - It works great as an occasional home fax machine.

I wanted a basic fax machine for my home. There are times that I need to fax, and I've been driving to town and paying $1 per page to send faxes. I just write the "to" and "from" on the sheet I'm sending, because it's nuts to pay $1 to send a whole...

Price is good esp with rebates. Works fine for light faxing

It has functions I don't need or want. Doesn't do well with multi sheets

Not the best Brother we've had, but it works.

This was a fairly new release at Office Depot when we got it. It works fine and hasn't had any real trouble. It just takes FOREVER to fax something or send something. We've had 2 other brother fax machines (one being one of the first ever made by...

Decent Print Quality, Makes fast copies, Not overly complicated

Takes forever to receive/send faxes, Cartrigdes aren't cheap

It ain't heavy, it's my Brother!

I have a home office and even though my computer has the built in fax capabilities I felt compelled to buy a fax machine. I searched around, not really knowing what I needed and made a spur of the moment decision to buy the Brother 770.

easy to use, small foot print, multi-functions, inexpensive

paper can jam easily

OK but not the best

I bought this machine when outfitting my new home office last year. I wanted to get a reasonable priced, plain paper fax that would allow me to program in a bunch of numbers and also one that would allow me to set it and forget it. I also needed a...

Acceptable quality, low cost

Unreliable paper feed

A Very Simple Machine - For Simple Needs

I've owned the 770 model fax for about a year now, and it's still working just fine for me. There are however, basics that people need to know before purchasing a "plain paper fax" (explained further below).

Inexpensive. Easy to use. Memory send feature

Ribbons can add up in $$. Brother tech support can be lacking sometimes
