I also purchased the lubricant to hopefully keep it in good working order. I will post back if it breaks like the Royal shredder did after very limited use.

It's much quiter than the piece of junk Royal shredder it's replacing. Seems to be engineered much better too.

Really strong motor, even if the paper goes in crooked and gets wrinkled, the machine crunches right along. I just shredded over 4 garbage bags worth of material the first day. For a home machine this is a really good deal. Shreds credit cards, but the...

After 10 minutes of continual use it shuts down automatically for 20 mins. to cool down the motor. This tells you that indeed, this machine has a strong motor but it really needs to be reserved for light shredding needs, not office use. Now that Im...

Planned Obsolescence

Shredder worked just fine, but, after three years we started getting paper "jams". I took it apart and there is two plastic pieces that keep the shredded paper from rolling around the two cutter rollers. One of these plastic pieces had four "teeth"...

Works great, but....

This is an ok shredder. We shred a lot of paper and it has held up very well. The only thing I don't like about this shredder is that the paper gets clogged under the shredders. Since we shred so much, I have to clean this every time I shred anything...

Durability, can shred multiple sheets and credit cards

Have to pull shreds of paper out from under shredders after each use
