With wireless networking and support for mobile printing, this MFP can't print photos but would work well in a home office

If you scan and print documents, but have little interest in photos, then this is a sound little MFP, albeit one with expensive mono costs. We'd have preferred more of an all-rounder, but if you're okay the scanning and photo printing limitations of...

HP Deskjet 2540

HP's Deskjet 2540 is aimed at phone and tablet owners who want to print easily.

Low purchase price ; Simple controls and LCD ; Good quality copies

Fiddly cartridge renewal ; Images don’t fill 15x10 photos ; No NFC support

HP is keen on you installing from the Web, rather than from the supplied CD, though this involves a hefty download and a number of mandatory click-to-select options. Whatever happened to the ‘install from printer’ regime HP trialled a year or so back?...

A HP AiO Device : HP Deskjet 2540

It has been a while since I last had the opportunity to check out a HP printer. If memory serves me correct, this unit was a home photo printing model that I reported on in 2008. It was therefore quite a surprise when HP's PR agency rang me up out of...

HP Deskjet 2540

At the high end of the inkjet all-in-one market, Canon reigns supreme with its Pixma range of printers. However, lower down the pecking order, where printers such as the new HP Deskjet 2540 sit, it's much more open.

A cost-effective all-in-one, with decent print quality and broad Wi-Fi support

For the price & quaitly a good deal.

It was mostly easy to set up & use. My problem is setting up to use wireless printing part, Haven't been able to do so as of yet. It is a little slower to print out than I would like.

Fairly easy to use

Haven't been able to print from computer as of yet

Great unit for the price when in a hurry.

Needed a black and white printer in a big hurry as the old one went dry and no one in the area had ink for it. This printer had more features than required, but had a great price and was ready to go.

Good price

Larger footprint than wanted, but best price
