Officejet J6480 All-in-one

The HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One color inkjet multifunction printer competes with other midrange MFPs, including Lexmark's X9575 Professional and Dell's 968w--and all offer a similar array of features, including integrated Wi-Fi. The J6480 manages to...

Inexpensive; integrated Wi-Fi Automatic duplexer

Mediocre speed; confusing control panel Confusing control panel

Ink costs are just shy of pricey. A 780-page, high-yield black cartridge costs $30, or 3.8 cents per page; the 520-page, high-yield tricolor cartridge costs $35, or 6.7 cents per page

HP Officejet J6480

The Officejet J6480 is Hewlett-Packard's newest all-in-one printer with a host of features designed to appeal to small-to-midsize businesses that want a low-cost, feature-rich device capable of handling projects across the board. This $200...

Loads of useful built-in hardware including autoduplexer, auto-document feeder, Optical Character Recognition scanner; painless 802.11g wireless setup; excellent quality text, graphic, and photo prints.

No PictBridge support; only three autodial fax buttons; slower than average photo prints.

The HP Officejet J6480 has a lot of built-in features that are rarely found included in a $200 printer. Shoppers looking for an all-inclusive multifunctional unit will be impressed with the robust hardware and rich print quality.

HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One

The HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One ($199 direct) falls into the once-rare but increasingly common category of inexpensive all-in-ones (AIOs) that can serve double duty in the home and home office. Unlike its most direct competition, however, it isn't...

Prints, scans, faxes from PC. Standalone copier and fax. Automatic document feeder. Wired and wireless network support

Slightly subpar text quality. Relatively slow print speed

An attractive choice for home, home office, or both, the HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One raises the bar for what to expect at this price.

HP Officejet J6480

In conclusion, the HP Officejet J6480 contains more office related functionality than comparable all-in-one photo printers. Unless you are looking for a business only printer that can print quality photos, then the HP Officejet J6480 may not be the way...

"I've had this printer for a long time and love it."

I rarely have paper jams. The sensors are usually accurate enough to let me know I need to get more ink. I use duplex printing all the time.

Sometimes my printer doesn't seem to connect to the network wirelessly. After years of ownership, I decided to use a wired connection due to this problem and because I wanted to move it to where the other computers were already located.

"Beware- doesn't work w/ non-HP ink, noisy, bad software"

This is the first HP printer I ever bought and I will not buy one again. I only got this because the two features mentioned in Pros were not available on the Canons I wanted at the right price.

Duplex printing, WiFi connection.

Does not work with non-HP ink cartridges, HP cartridges are crazy expensive, it makes a lot of noise a lot of the time, the software kinda sucks.

"Complete garbage!"

Buy a competitors offering and spend 200-300 dollars if you want a decent all in one. I replaced this pile of cow flop with an Epson Workforce 840 and it's doubtful HP will ever see my business again.

None what so ever.

Where to start.... For the most part, when it worked it was something to swear at and not by. Jams were constant, scanner was hit or miss if it was going to come out well and fax was slow. Granted, this is a cheap printer but really all you get for your m

"250 Meg of bloatware."

I will never buy another HP product.

If you can actually get to the printer, it doesn't completely suck.

If you ever want to set the thing up on a new machine, count on spending all day messing with it and then having to spend another day fixing the other machines that used to work.

Decent print quality, horrible software

I'm done with HP. Mechanically it's a decent printer and if you have a USB connection it will do a decent job of printing. Want to take advantage of all the features that makes this printer a $200+ machine? Forget about it. Unfortunately HP is running...

Form factor is nice and fairly compact. Does a decent job with ADF printing but is a bit slow compared to the Epson I had previously. Photo quality is decent but you really need photo paper and the photo cartridge to really get quality photos on print

The software is junk making the printer unusable with a Windows 7 laptop I just bought. Printer drops off line and I have to reboot the laptop to get the printer to talk again. Spent nearly 4 months off and on trying to resolve the Windows 7 issue with
