HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One Review: Good Looks, Good Output

The first thing you'll notice about the $150 (as of February 6, 2012) HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One color inkjet multifunction printer is that it looks better than the competition. But it's also a good printer, with first-rate output quality and...

Nice output ; Stylish design ; Scanner lid doesn't telescope

No automatic document feeder

With a touchscreen LCD and sleek styling, this MFP looks good and delivers nice output for light-volume home or student users.

HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One

The 6510 is reasonably compact, measuring 6.3 by 17.2 by 15 inches and weighing 12.4 pounds. It can print, copy, and scan; print from and scan to a memory card (slots are limited to SD/MultiMediaCard and Memory Stick Duo). It does not support printing...

Meager paper capacity. Relatively high cost per page

The HP PhotoSmart 6510 e-All-in-One offers a touch-screen interface and ePrint, Web app, and eFax capabilities.

HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One

Today we have a brand new product from HP (Hewlett Packard) - the HP 6510 e-All-in-One Photosmart printer. This little unit can scan, print and copy any document or picture that isn't larger than a no10 envelope. Although they call it an All-in-One, it...

All-In-One configuration ; Aesthetically pleasing ; Great Value ; Ease of Use ; 3.5" Touch Screen ; Built in Card Reader

Software a little confusing ; Snapfish is a pain to get set-up

This printer is constructed from the usual material, but is well made and does not feel cheap. The addition of the card reader in the front is a very nice feature - a feature that most people will find invaluable.

Good Quality & Speed for the Loe Price.

A very nice printer for a pleasantly low price.

Nice compact footprint ; Holds photo & regular papers simultaneously (don't have to manually switch constantly ; Nice photo print quality ; Simple scanner operation ; Airprint is a great feature

The landing area for output sheets isn't well thought out

WORKS QUITE WELL!

I'm very happy with this printer. After reading review after review from people who said it jammed, was noisy, "drank" ink, etc... I was hesitant, but have not experienced any of these negatives. My decision was between the 5510 and the 5514 but the...

easy set up ; scanner is easy to use ; plenty of ink in the "starter" ink cartridges ; easy to enlarge documents ; paper is neatly concealed in tray

printing is a little bit loud -- but so what? I'm not in a library

A low cost small simple wi-fi printer.

It setup and worked fine out of the box. Did not have any problem in printing 4 X 6 photo. I picked this printer because it was small, inexpensive and uses the same cartridges as my old HP 309g printer which failed. I was tempted to not use HP because...

Small size fitted my space, and I need to have the paper feed and output on the front. The wi-fi works well with our two Macbook Pros, that use OS X lion. Set-up went well. It was on sale, and was a know device to me

None so far. High ink cost from past experience, but we do not do much printing so it is not a large consideration for us

Good for general use, but grainy photo quality.

Right out of the box I found the 6510 easy to set up on our laptop running Windows 7. I went the wireless route, and it had no problems detecting our wifi. The setup prompts were easy to follow. The test pages were fine, but it was troublesome getting...

Ease of (wireless) setup

Grainy photos. Sometimes would try and grab regular paper, even though it was supposed to print on 4x6 photo paper

Broken after 9 months of very light use

I have owned this unit for 9 months. The printhead has already failed which is not user-replaceable, it needs to get shipped back to the factory for repair. That coupled with you'll spend almost as much for replacement ink as the unit itself, i would...
