Hewlett-Packard's three printers may not be similar enough to call them fruit from the same tree, but they are certainly variations on a theme. All three print photos at true photo quality; all three let you print without a PC; and all three can serve...

Does its job well - on board reader creates convenience

Had this printer for years, never had any problems. Paper feeds well. Didn't use the 4x6 photo paper feeder so i can't comment on it. Display and menu easy to use. Used the memory card readers all the time

nothing sticks out to me. slightly bigger footprint than other printers of similar capacity maybe

Never, ever, again!

Used only occasionally since purchase. One day, red blinking light, no LED text, no life, no solution. Replacement will be anything but an HP.

Good photos - - while it worked

High ink usage, then it died

Never again

Bought this in 2005 and while it worked it was ok. All of a sudden a blinking red light came on with no text on the LCD screen. Tried everything including HP's hard boot that requires the ink cartridges to be removed among other things. The problem is...

OK when working

Get lots of ink

excellent prints!

excellent, trouble-free printing. Beautiful b&w. Does what it is supposed to for a low price. Archival printing

High per price print (quality matters more than cost to me though). HPs cannot be profiled because of the head design (ie. you change them with each new cartridge)

Works well some SW issues

Works well in all modes. Only cost $80. Despite HP instructions to the contrary, it works fine if you plug it in and let it install the drivers from the CD

The included SW is buggy, including the lastest versions. Could not install the SW at all on one of my two PCs

Too expensive to operate for mediocre results.

Photo quality is fair. No better or no worse than any average photo printer

Too expensive to operate. Sucks up the ink which averages about $35 per cartridge. Quality is not as good as an Epson Stylist 900

Broke twice. Warranty expired. Bought Epson.

Good photo quality when it is not broken

Product was DOA, so HP replaced it with a refurbished printer. The refurbished printer broke 4 months later. HP wouldn't replace it since they claimed refurbished products only have a 3 month warranty, even though I was still within the 1 year warranty of

Great pictures - sometimes...

If you can get it to print properly, using HP brand paper, it produces great pictures

It does not like off-HP brand paper. When I have used other paper in it (4x6), I have had everything from it bending the end of the picture to ending up with a terrible picture quality. The ink is also not cost effective. I also hate that it does not p
