HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web

HP's Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer is a color inkjet multifunction printer with one truly new feature: the ability to access Web-based applications for viewing and printing items on the machine. It's a cool concept, but it's not...

Web applications show potential ; Automatic duplexer is standard

Steep purchase price ; Web and touchscreen features have a few hiccups

The idea of accessing Web apps from your printer is intriguing, but the initial execution on this unit shows that there's still some work to be done.

HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer

The HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-In-One Printer, the world's first personal Web kiosk printer, lets you print selected data directly from the Web; no PC necessary.

World's first standalone home Web printer kiosk. Color LCD touch screen for all controls. High-quality photos.

Low paper capacity. Web features won't work if connected only to a PC by a USB connection.

I ran my tests using an Ethernet connection and a Windows Vista computer. According to HP, the printer also ships with a full set of drivers and software for Windows Vista x64, XP (SP1 or higher), Windows 7, and Windows 7 x64. In addition, it comes...

HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One (C309n) review

Although HP and Lexmark both released touch-screen printers at the same time, we have to credit HP for being the first to bring one to the consumer space, with the Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web. The printer connects directly to the Web through a...

Printer ships in recyclable bags; new design reflects modern aesthetic; comprehensive driver features; separate photo and paper trays automatically pick the right size for the job.

Onscreen apps take a long time to access and feel gimmicky; lacks autodocument feeder; slow response from touch screen; applications have a tendency to freeze up; small scanner bed.

Aside from the never-ending name, the HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer looks good and prints high-quality photos at competitive speeds. We also appreciate the effort put into the downloadable applications for the interactive...

Review: HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web MFP

This multifunction device has one truly new feature: the ability to access Web-based applications for viewing and printing items on the machine.

As a traditional MFP, the TouchSmart performed competently in our tests. Using default settings, it printed plain text and graphics at better-than-average speeds of 8 pages per minute and 3.7 ppm, respectively. (HP’s specs of 33 ppm for text and 32 ppm...

Review Of HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web Printer

The Hp applications can be accessed through the touchscreen. Here you can download printable content like children's coloring pages, games etc. You can also print news, maps and tickets. All said and done, the question of viability again pops up. And...

The printer looks good to compliment its breakthrough technology in terms of the touch screen. The printer is shipped in recyclable bags. There are separate photo and paper trays, and the printer will automatically detect and pick up the right kind of...

Accessing the onscreen applications is a little tedious and takes a long time to access and navigate. The need for the touchscreen is still not justified. Working on a small screen, with limited navigability seems the last choice when you would have...

Hp has forayed onto new grounds with the new Photosmart Premium Touchsmart Web. While we applaud the effort, it also leaves many of us scratching our heads, wondering about the practicality of the application of touchscreen in printers. While Hp has...

HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-In-One Printer

Some standout features of this inkjet multifunction printer include a responsive touch screen, easy-to-access settings, quiet copying, and speedy prints, scans and copies. The big complaint from the engineers at the Good Housekeeping Research Institute...

Not reliable.

This printer always has issues. Very aggravating to use regularly.

Looks and functionality.

All sorts of recurring problems: connectivity, head alignment, and cropping of documents (to name a few).

Don't buy it. Try another brand

Try another brand. Printer should be plug and play but setting this up is arduous. I have yet been able a glossy photo because I don't want to waste the paper and ink without the confidence it will work.

It offers 2 sided printing. It is good for HP's profit and future ink sales.

comes with small ink cartridges & lots of bloatware built in, All software loads all the time, new ink cartridges run out quickly, Hard to buy new ink, labels are confusing. Ink evaporates while not in use

Really good printer

"So far very happy with the printer. Have had a couple of issues with setting up the drivers on our laptops but we're working them out. Also am having an issue with the scanner not working from the printer touch screen. Again, I probably just need to...
