HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Photo Printer

The HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Photo Printer prints superb photos on your choice of fine-art papers.

Maximum 13-by-44-inch paper. Fine-art papers available. Network connector. Photoshop plug-in.

Printing of photos and graphics on plain paper is subpar.

If you're serious about printing top-quality photos (or graphics, for that matter) at sizes up to 13 by 44 inches, the HP Photosmart Pro B9180 is a superb choice.

No need to swap matte and glossy black inks ; Great software bundle includes a Photoshop plug-in ; Ethernet and USB connectivity ; Efficient ink usage ; Prints neutral black and white images ; Great print quality on many different paper types

Printing with thick papers can result in slightly crimped edge

HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Review

First announced in February 2006 at the PMA show, the new Photosmart Pro B9180 from Hewlett Packard is one of two new competitors to the Epson R2400 (the other being the Canon iP9500). Although 13x19 inkjet printers have been available for some time,...

Review: HP Photosmart Pro B9180

This surprising printer delivers excellent, long-lasting output for the lowest price in its class.

In short, don't buy this printer. And if you do, never, ever call HP for support. It will be a complete waste of time

HP Photosmart Pro B9180

Try as we might, we couldn't come up with any significant defects in the Photosmart Pro B9180. The only thing we didn't like is how the printer can sometimes crimp one end of very thick paper when fed through the manual-feed slot.

Expensive waste of money and space.

Absolutely nothing

Expensive, large, and impossible to get it to work. I have owned Epson, Canon, and now HP

Consumer review by:

Upkeeping is way to expensive, glitches in design.

Ok first there are like 8 ink carts., once and ink is out- you can not print and you can not run to the store to buy more you have to order it. Also there is a glitch in the design. Once one of the ink carts. goes out you have to replace the ink right?...

It prints color

Price on Ink is outrageous/You can only purchase inks online or phone/All the "photo" paper has the HP logo all over the back of paper and it looks cheap. There are glitches in the design

Excellent colour print results for photo hobbyist

I bought this printer primarily for use printing large format colour and B&W photos. I use it with Photoshop CS4, Illustrator and my Nikon DSLR. For years I would send my colour printing to photo labs because the inkjet printers I bought couldn't do...

Most expensive & best color photo printer I have owned. Prints photos up to 13x19 get the most from my DSLR's superb lenses. Exquisite colour. Easy to use and easy to fix any printing problems. Ethernet so I can use it wirelessly

Ink cartridges and high quality photo paper are expensive. Black and white text printing is slow at best quality, compared to the mono laser printer I use at work
