Kodak ESP Office 2170 All-in-One

The Kodak ESP Office 2170 is a multifunction printer that can print, copy, and scan on a budget thanks to a new print engine inside that separates the printheads from the dual-ink cartridges. This new hardware design lets Kodak cut the price down to a...

The Kodak ESP Office 2170 proves to be a capable home office performer, with an impressive software bundle, simple installation, and a new print engine design that keeps ink costs low.

The printer lacks double-sided printing and has a small LCD screen that hinders photo-editing functionality. Also, Kodak's All-in-One Home Center software works only with Windows, leaving Mac users without 3D printing or photo-editing features.

The Kodak ESP 2170 is worthwhile if you run a small business and need a low-volume printer that can output high-quality snapshot photos, but bigger offices and Mac users should keep shopping.

Kodak ESP Office 2170

The Kodak 2170 is a home office dream that photo fanatics will love. Considering its features, it's a compact machine that boasts productivity as well as a creative side. While it stops short of fulfilling your every corporate need and might seem a tad...

Pic Flick app makes iOS/BlackBerry printing extremely easy ; Photo prints (even lower-quality smartphone images) offer natural, rich color tone ; Very simple setup process, especially connecting to Wi-Fi ; Software UI is extremely intuitive for every...

No simple photo-editing options built into the printer ; Should support Android devices ; 3D glasses should be included

It seems like Kodak banks on the 2170’s worth because of its cost-saving ink, but it falls a little short on other important functionalities.

Kodak ESP Office 2170 All-in-One Printer

In most other ways, the 2170 offers a fairly typical set of capabilities for a home and home office MFP. It can print and scan over a USB cable or WiFi connection and it can work as a standalone fax machine and copier. Unfortunately, however, it...

Prints 3D photos. Prints and scans over a network. Standalone copier and fax. Automatic document feeder. Wi-Fi

No Ethernet connector. Relatively low paper capacity. Relatively slow for business applications. Can't fax from a PC

Despite its name, the Kodak ESP Office 2170 All-In-One Printer is less suited for the office than for the home office or for the dual role of home and home office MFP.

Kodak ESP Office 2170 Printer Review

When you buy a printer there are certain features consumers look for prior to their printer purchase. For starters – price? Does it print quality images? How fast does it print? And how much will the ink cost me? Well the latest All-in-one printer from...

Easy setup. Good value for your money when it comes to ink cartridges. 3D printing feature. Wireless printing. iPhone and BlackBerry Apps available for printing directly from mobile devices

3D software printing is disabled for Macs. Cheap paper 3D glasses

The Kodak ESP Office 2170 is a well rounded printer that can also scan, copy and send faxes. It may also just seem like another typical budget all-in-one printer but it truly is a budget printer for the long haul, and it prints some nifty 3D images to...

"Others may have problems I actually love my printer!"

So far I have had this printer for about 6 months and had one paper jam. I have been able to print from my Asus TF201 Prime Transformer, my daughters

Prints flawlessly & NO JAMS. Wireless printing, scanning, and faxing are easy. Our family business sells municipality accounting software and 3 of us have this printer.

That you cannot print just black if your color cartridge runs out.

"This printer is a "Nightmare.""

Don't be fooled by the ad, "Lowest Total Ink Replacement Cost". This printer is a monster when it comes to using ink. It's a nightmare. This is a Beast, a monstrosity,a Frankenstein. It pays to do ones homework!

Picture quality on plain paper is very good.

Ink, Ink, Ink, Ink, this monster uses ink like no other printer I have owned. Printing in Draft Mode was terrible, the sheet came out with lines overprinting other lines.

"Worst Printer I have ever used!"

This is by far the worst printer I have had. Most all in one you can bypass the color out and print in Grayscale , but not with this printer. Also connection to a WEP2 will not allow manually as it does not recognize any password not in WEP format of...

Cheap ink, Wireless

Can't print if one cartridge is out of ink, Looses connection, slow, errors, and more

Consumer review by:

"error. error. ERROR. also, more error codes. and lemons"

I don't know if Kodak is a piece of **it or if it's my printer. Judging from the other reviews I'm inclined to believe it's Kodak. Here's to hoping Best Buy will actually SUPPORT ME unlike what Kodak did for me on the phone.

good footrest/cd holder

printed 1 page in 9 months. Otherwise error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error, error.

"Pulling my hair out by the handful"

Save yourself the money and your sanity by not purchasing this over priced inadequate printer that will never fail to malfunction every time you need to use it. WORST PRODUCT ON THE MARKET!

I really can not think of any pros.

Wireless connection comes and goes frequently. Uses more ink than any printer I used. Had more trouble installing software on my computer(and I've used several in my lifetime working in administration). Will no longer print black ink. WORST EVER!
