Kyocera Mita FS-C5250DN review

Kyocera Mita's FS-C5250DN workgroup printer offers superb running costs and searing print speed.

With superb running costs and searing speed, the Kyocera Mita FS-C5250DN is quite a model. Only its slightly disappointing colour photo printing makes us stop short of giving it a huge recommendation.

A fast, heavyweight, workgroup colour laser, with plenty of potential to grow as the office gets busier.

Good print speeds for class ; Easy access to toner cartridges ; Infrequent maintenance needed

Controls could be more straightforward ; Sleep mode delay too short ; Eco-mode print no quicker than normal mode

This Kyocera Mita colour laser ticks most of the boxes, with a big one in the low running cost box. It's quick to print, though not quite as quick as the spec suggests, and has plenty of expansion potential should you need to increase its print...

Easy to set up, and no problems so far

I bought this printer as it had the lowest running costs of any similar model. It did not take long to unpack, and get working once I realised there was a dial on the paper tray to specify the paper size (A4). Detecting and installing drivers was easy...
