Lexmark Genesis S815 All-in-One Printer

To be perfectly honest, I haven't exactly had the best of experiences with Lexmark products in the past. Many years back, I went through two less than stellar Lexmark printers. ...

Aesthetically pleasing design with color touchscreen ; Innovative imaging technology for scanner ; Integrated WiFi-N connectivity ; Good print quality and acceptable print speed

No feed scanner ; Cannot take on thicker documents, books, etc ; Easy to accidentally flip open the scanner cover ; Comparatively expensive

After plugging in the power to the printer, it starts the setup process automatically. This is where you can set your language, date/time, and time zone. It’ll also get you to install the print cartridges, of course, and getting them in there was a...

Lexmark's innovative multifunction printer is more than just a gimmick

Lexmark Genesis S815 review

Does this mould-breaking device represent a rebirth for the multifunction printer?

Small footprint ; Very fast image capture ; Versatile mini-apps ; Good print quality

Limited 'scanning' resolution ; Only one paper tray

Lexmark Genesis S815 review

It's not often you see something a bit different in the printer/AIO market but Lexmark has produced a device that should turn a few heads in the Genesis S815. Most immediately striking are the aesthetics, since it utilises an innovative vertical design...

Excellent print quality, useful online resources, impressive touchscreen, super-fast scans

Very slow print speeds, expensive

The S815 certainly looks the part, but for the price we were still expecting better all-round performance

Lexmark Genesis S815 review

Lexmark's Genesis S805 doesn't look like any MFP we've ever seen before. Head on, you're presented with a massive touchscreen panel that makes the all-in-one a pleasure to interact with. It takes up more vertical space than most MFPs and also has a...

One of the best MFP interfaces, but scan and print quality is too poor to justify the price

A novel rethink of the all-in-one inkjet, with its ultra-fast vertical scanner and an unconventional, supposedly small-footprint design.

The four Vizix ink cartridges plug into the print head, though access is slightly restricted due to the design of the Genesis S815 – remember to slot in the lugs on the front of each cartridge first, before pressing it into place. USB and wireless...

REVIEW: Lexmark Genesis S815

Lexmark's Genesis S815 (£299.69) certainly leads the way with flair. Unlike any other AIO (all-in-one), this 4-in-1 inkjet device sports a fantastically attractive vertical design...

It also produces good quality prints, albeit not up to enthusiast photography levels. If performance trumps design, there are better AIOs for high-resolution scanning, better document handling and photo printing. For everyday casual use, the Genesis...

Lexmark Genesis S815

The Lexmark Genesis S815 is a delightfully pretty piece of tech. It stands proudly upright, while its competitors squat their bulk over the better part of your desk.

This is a completely different shape for a Multi Function unit. It is Multi Function as not only does it print, scan and copy but should you still need the facility it can also be used as a Fax machine. The shape is higher rather than wider.

The design of this unit is very different so much more can be done from the touchscreen TFT, Smart Solutions could be useful and the Lexmark software monitors not only its own card slot and USB stick port but also those on the PC so printing images...

Lexmark - Genesis S815

Lexmark produces a number of capable, budget printers and all-in-one devices - so we were surprised to see the company breaking the multifunction printer mould a little with the innovatively designed Genesis S815. Combining print, scan, ...

Lexmark's Genesis S815's styling should attract a few appreciative glances - and it backs up its smooth lines with excellent quality results, albeit delivered at rather slow speeds. This is a lot to pay for a colour all-in-one, though - and despite its...
