Lexmark X264dn Multifunction Laser Printer

In this age of online documents, sometimes you still need a fast printer that kills trees. If you're a small legal office, print large preview documents for clients or need high capacity archival printing, a fast laser printer with capacious paper...

A mono laser multifunction with fast print and duplex all for just £130.

Scan to e-mail, Fast first page out, Postscript L3 emulation as standard

Poor greyscale copy quality, Only a simplex scanner, No quick-dial fax numbers

Fast, simple, easy to use B&W MFP perfect for home.

Running a small business out of the house requires an MFP. Back a few years ago, a good B&W MFP would have run $700, but like everything in the computer world, they become cheaper. Sometimes that's done sacrificing quality and features, but Lexmark hit...

1. Easy to configure. Out of the box and running in less than 15 minutes ; 2. Tons of interface configurations. Wifi, Ethernet and USB standard ; 3. Simple LCD interface. Not digging through menus like HP's buried layout ; 4. Low operating cost. High...

1. Envelope printing not intuitive. Had to mess with the paper feed defaults ; 2. Looks like a copier from 10 years ago. That's not much of a gripe though

Am I too picky?

Got this printer to print and scan for my Mac on my network. It does all that, fairly well.

print quality, design, Easy Installation/Good Instructions, value for money

software, not as mac friendly as it could be

Does the jom

Fast, other than that nothing remarkable

The software is clunky and scanning is more difficult than it should be. You have to start the process from a computer (after you put the document on the scanner) then go back to the device to start the scan, way more painful than it needs to be

Misleading toner page yields

Sadly, we bought a number of these printers and will be stuck with them for a long time. Do not make the same mistake.

Duplex printing, copying ; Good quality images. Even draft quality looks great

As with most multi function printers, the document feeder likes to suck down multiple pages at a time ; They have not bothered producing new printer drivers since the printer's release. The Lexmark web site is still showing driver version 1.0 ; The...

Got a deal, but not everything I wanted

Printer works well, but here's what to expect. It took a while to figure out that the attached computer can't be on standby for networked computers to print to it, or to scan to computer. The starter print cartridge only lasted three weeks, and...

Misleading toner capacity

I bought this when it was pricier based on the cost-per-page I calculated based on their listed consumables. Since purchasing two of these, I have used nothing but the extra large toner cartridges rated at 9,000 pages. I tracked the page count at each...

Can scan/print over network using static or dynamic IP ; At this price, probably worth it as a basic workhorse ; Lots of features, many of which I've never touched ; Can print/copy both sides, very useful when you're producing a quick run of brochures...

The sheet feeder is lousy and likes to suck down multiple pages at a time, but this is probably true of any multifunction printer in this price range. This is particularly annoying when you're trying to send a fax with a lot of pages ; Network printer...
